amazing my AMD ring does 365 SOLS now. a few days ago it was doing 100 Sols.

@Claymore any plans for CUDA and CPU to be included? that seems to need some attention also.

I've set -wd 1 -r 0 and have the reboot file we used for the ETH miner in the folder. Will that work to reboot if the Kraken strikes?

dont think u need exactly 15.12, just need 15.12 or higher

im using 16.9.2 with no issues
well i have 2 rigs one  with 3x rx480 8gb, and the second with 2x r9 390x 1x r9 290x 8 gb, and there is only about 15-20 sols so i was thinking of changing the driver version since it appears to be recommended by the creator of the miner just a thought.

The new RX 4xx requires newer drivers than the 15.12, at least 16.x

I use 16.9.2 without issues
i'm going use the old saying "if it aint broke don't fix it" Grin

The 7950/7970/280x were always the best mining cards due to their large memory bandwidth.

If it wasn't for the DAG file in ETH they would still hash at 27MH/s.

During the Litecoin days they hashed at 80% of the speed of a 290 and cost only 60% of the price. They were forgotten with ETH mining but are now back and killing RX480s.

Do you think it's worth hunting down some second hand cards and build a cheapo Tahiti rig for Z?

i dont think so. if zcash fades away, those cards will suck at most other algorithms

Well they will suck at ETH which is the only other algorithm worth mining...

Very well said, ( you forgot  280 without x) anyway 7950 is the winer. I'm getting almost 40-42 sol with 7950 ( sadly because I've sold few of them, 3 months ago)

Yeah for some reason my 7950 is the fastest at 50Sol/s while 280x are like 43Sol/s.

And yeah I had more of these but sold them 3 months ago for some 470/480. Those cards suck at any algo other than ETH.

if you have the elecricity for that, move swiftly go for that.
it will worth it, zec won't go down that easy.

Anyone using nicehash here? Trying to find out if it's worth using it, whattomine shows way almost 20% higher rewards than nicehash, also I dont kno'w when do they convert zec to btc, as soon as it's confirmed or once/twice a day ? It would be better if nicehash produced same results since everyone instasells it anyway.

pc keeps restarting, whats that normally from?

Thanks

Modded bios ?

No everything as defualt

Too weak PSU.

I only have 4 470 8gb and 1000w psu.....Everyone is saying they have 6 cards and only like 750w or is that only because of moded bios?

1000w psu doesnt give 1000w, it gives 80-90% usually. same with every psu. even if somebody says it has 6 cards and 750w psu, even if pc start, gpus won't mine.

in your case it possible that psu is really shitty, and it gives you even less than 80%, if not than search for problem in settings or elsewhere
had the same problem, just today change for a new psu also 1000w, but better one, works perfectly with 4 even 5 gpus rx 470.

try disconnect one gpu and run miner, if it runs, it is psu. to make sure it is not the disconnected gpu, connect it back and discconnect another one

1000W usually gives at least 1100-1150W from wall. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Its not his PSU.

What Version of 7950 you using? and how much watt they take away on the modded bios?

My 470 Nitro 4gb makes 44~ hashes and uses only 70-75 ~Watt most of the time with 30% cooler. Really silent as well.

9 hours running stable here. had a nice worry free sleep.

if 7950's are doing 50 sols, just wait for claymore's updates he might bring more sols to 280x, 290/390 and 290x/390x
