I'm mining Zcash with:

01 - R9 280x - 70 Sol / s
01 - RX 480 - 75 Sol / s
02 - RX 470 - 130 Sol / s
01 - I7 4790K - 25 Sol / s
01 - I7 3790K - 20 Sol / s
Total - 320 Sol / s

I do not pay for energy.

With the price at 0.21 still pays off? Or do they recommend another coin?

How did you got 130 sol/s on a 470?

I think he means he has 2 x RX 470's

Can someone say what is the power draw from the wall for Sapphire 280X Dual-X/Vapor-X?
It depends on your overall system. No one can just guess. Check it yourself.

I saw that there is a way to run Linux miner's on Windows 10 64bits. Is this possible?

i'm am wondering too

Yes, through Cygwin64! I've just done it.

wow Huh , it seems does not work for me,.... how do you install cyg?

miner@480-11 ~
$ dir
optiminer-zcash

miner@480-11 ~
$ cd optiminer-zcash

miner@480-11 ~/optiminer-zcash
$ ./optiminer-zcash -h
-bash: ./optiminer-zcash: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

optiminer-zcash: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

I get the same error.. did you find a solution yet?

For what its worth.  My stock clocked/volts 4x r9 380 rig went from 805 watts while mining ethereum (not dual mining)  to 652 watts on Zcash claymore v4  never measured v1 -- but based on temps and fan speed it had to be less.

So with the price still declining... are people still mining and holding in hopes of a comeback or has everyone jumped back to ETH?

Normal that price is falling while the supply is increasing.
Ummm......you do realize coins are always increasing in supply.......at least until they max out in a few decades Tongue

You need the correct components to run it I assume, as well amd gpu drivers..

Seems like too much hassle, there will be a new claymore miner tomorrow.

Can someone tell me if buying a HD 7990 for mining is worth it? And what is the hashrate?

I can buy one for 250€.

No. They don't mine ethereum well as they are effected by DAG increases. Bad idea to buy a card that is power hungry and bad at one of the most popular altcoins.

Not sure if this will help, but its a quick screen of GPU-Z on the Sapphire 280X Dual-X Card

Its running in a 6 gpu rig alongside 3x 7970 and 2 other xfx R9 280x

Total rig is doing ~401h/s with that card at ~ 70h/s all stock settings.

Thanks!

For everyone who is complaining about electricity watch this. This is how power consumption was back during the Litecoin days with Scrypt.

350Watts per 280X at the wall. And you guys are complaing about 100Watts or so. So spoiled kids these days.

Yeah, my 7x 7970 rigs were brutal when mining scrypt. Don't miss those days at all.

All of those GPUs survived thanks to heavy undervolting, and are still mining to this day.

So true Smiley

I am still mining with my original 6x R9 290X reference cards lol

thansk!

Its still Linux only

For those on about the Optimizer miner, I've heard the dev fee is 15% is that correct (mentioned in the SA thread)?

If so thats a crazy high dev fee and to think people were complaining about Claymores 2.5%

Linux only and that miner has a 15% dev fee.

But interestingly there is a windows port of the SA miner that im using.  It's getting me some slightly better numbers, no fee and a nice cut in power.

My 290 rig is running 4c cooler on that port, id like to see what claymore can do seeing the competition.
