Hi everyone!

Please help me with advise. Will it be enough to put 1000W PSU ( Chieftec APS-1000CB ) on 5*RX 470 4B with AMD FX-4330 CPU + 1 SSD ?

People say that this GPUs can draw up to 200W on some peak consumption. If it is so , then PSU is not enough for that RIG ?

Maximum for these cards 150-160 watts in dual mode ETH+SIA

Yeah, I also heard from one person, but I have yet to see a RX 470 which uses 200W (their TDP is only 120W). This is only true for RX 480 which can really pull that much under certain conditions. BTW: ETH+SIA with OC is an excellent load test :-)

It's also very easy to undervolt 470/480 to draw at or under 100w even at near-peak stock mining speeds.

This is bad psu, i dont like it. If u have it, then ok u can undervolt and it will be ok. But if you want it to buy, then no, buy something 80+ Gold certified

v11.1 Linux version released.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

one question please:
since there is no polaris ASM kernel coming, everyone who has mixed rigs now (e.g. r9 fury + rx 470) is going to split them up to install driver 15.12 and run ASM kernel for their older gen cards. Is it worth it for r9 nano and r9 fury?
thanks!

Claymore,
After using parameter -di   тhe arrangement of cards is adjusted only for the speed. Temperature and percentage of fans remain disordered.

i thought you need to run different driver versions anyways?

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I use 750W chieftec for 5x rx470 so no worries.

Claymore 5.0

6 x msi RX 470 8gb core clock 1300 Mhz  720-730 H/s    power wall  645 Watt
6 x msi RX 480 8gb core clock 1175 Mhz  710-720 H/s    power wall  860 Watt

470 better??? when I increase 480 core clock, hash rising up to 750-760...but wattage also  1100 Watt...

sure??? i have 4x saphire r9 280x 3GB and got 875 H/s  and on other starting rig i have 1 Saphire nitro+  RX 480x OC 8GB got 270 H/s only 1...

no, r9 fury and nano run fine together with rx 470 on my driver 16.11.5 ~ 1510h/s@580w
I guess not many here have mixed rigs then.

I could not get ASM to work with the 16.12.x drivers. I will try the 16.11.5 and hope that will fix the problem.
No i have to run 15.12 to get it working or not run the Nano in ASM mode.

yes, so is there a big increase in H/s in ASM mode for r9 fury? Will it draw more power too?

When you start miner for Fury and it cannot apply asm, it displays a warning with info what drivers you need (15.12 or 16.3.2). Since both 15.12 and 16.3.2 does not support Polaris, you cannot enable asm for Fury and use Rx4xx cards on same rig. With asm you should see about 380-400H/s on Nano, without asm -15% or so.

I have many rigs x6 r9 Fury each , and few rigs after some time, miner closed. I use -i 5 and Driver 15.12
