Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

No. It was thrown into existence five years back, still no word from whoever birthed it. I would say one word: lobotomy. The operation that is mandatory for those involved in making the coin go live without projection for its future. Many things can be said but not much can be heard.
