Guys, vote for FC to be listed on cryptoaltex. You've got to be a registered user on the site, but voting is free (once per 24 hours).

If we hit 100 votes (already got 68) within the next 6 hours there is a chance to be selected in a random drawing and the coin may get listed.

If you have already voted yesterday, try voting again today before the drawing starts.

Christian

I voted Wink .

wow! such brief Wink

I suspect you're trying to say the stratum implementation of the ccMiner doesn't work with the only FugueCoin pool. Yes, that is a possibility.

But luckily, FC is quite solo-mineable with nVidia. At least several blocks per day, even with slower cards.

HeavycoinPool web server overloaded...

Please don't worry. All your shares are accounted for, however, due to crazy increase in # of shares per user due to GPU mining now being possible, our MPOS statistics DB is struggling to calculate the Share Statistics (for displaying on the site), and therefore is choking our web server.

wouldn't it help to increase share difficulty by factor 2 to 4 ? Even if that means that CPU miners will submit less shares. Alternatively running VARDIFF with a high maximum difficulty cap might be a solution.

I finally got my rig today (5 x EVGA 750Ti SC), but I currently have two questions:

1. Is there a possibility to overclock core/memory under ubuntu 12.10? nvclock seems not to work. I'm getting 273khash when mining doge, which seems to be improveable... ^^
2. not cudaminer specific: I got the Asrock H81 BTC board. Do I need to connect the molex pin to the motherboard (the handbook says i need to connect it when running two cards) when using powered risers?

Question: has anyone done the profitability math on HVC? How are things looking there.

Christian

Profitability just went down the drain from an hour ago. An hour ago the difficulty was 350-450 now it is 720. On the 750Ti HVC is profitable when difficulty is below 450 given the current exchange rates of ~0.000025. With my 8 750Tis if I left it on HVC at 28mh/s right now I am looking at daily profits of $6.85 whereas an hour ago that calculation netted ~$14. At $6.85 daily profits I rather mine other things. At $14, that is a very attractive rate. My calculations have taken into account the considerable less electricity HVC mining takes and that is already factored into the profit calculations versus other coins I track.

In comparison, Yacoin is $10.80 per day right now with my rigs though it is hard to move Yacoin on the exchanges.
Doge = $6.11
Moon = $7.37
Leaf = $1.75
TIPS = $3.56

Obviously my calculated daily profits are going to be different for other people who have different energy cost structures than I do so here are the values in terms of BTC income per day not counting electricity.
HVC = 0.013278
YAC = 0.020820
Doge = 0.014419
Moon = 0.016488
Leaf = 0.007285
TIPS = 0.010247

well, I bought usb powered risers, after i heared bad things about the ribbon risers. so do I still need that one molex to be connected to the board? or is one molex per riser enough? don't wanna fry my new rig Tongue

hmmm, I just got the same board today so we're in the same boat.  I won't be able to build it out completely right now but my plan was to just use non-powered risers.  All my information is coming from newegg.com reviews.  No actual experience yet with it.  I got the board since it was $69 and finally came back in stock but that's all I have right now.  Oh, and a bunch of angle aluminium and rivet gun from tractor supply to build an open air case.  LOL

Thanks for your details report. Could I ask which hashrates do you get for YAC with 750Ti ? And with which lauchconfig? I still mine MRCs for days because I like this coin. Btw the diff is low and my tips: don't let the exchange rate fools you. You could always sell MRC for at least 2 satoshis. FYI and for comparison: I have expected earning from 0.07BTC/1Mhs with MRC now. And I'm pretty sure that your 8x750Ti are able to get at least 0.5Mhs with MRCs now (Nfactor=11).

Interesting about MRC. I will definitely need to look into that coin for my calculations. What card do you mine MRC with right now?

For YAC I am getting 28kh/s total. 3.3-3.5kh/s per card.
For scrypt I am getting 2344kh/s total. 293kh/s per card average.
For HVC I am getting 28mh/s total. 3500kh/s per card. Weird that some of the cards go as high as 4400kh/s while this increased performance is not seen in other algos on those "faster" cards. Maybe CPU related?

For YAC my settings are
cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt-jane -H 2 -L 2 -i 0 -l t64x1 -b 4096 -m 1

For scrypt:
cudaminer.exe -H 2 -i 0 -m 1 -l T5x24

It should also be noted that my calculations do include a marginal 9th 750 Ti in my main computer that mines once in a while when I'm not using my main computer for work or games. The impact on the bottom line of this 9th card is nominal. Maybe $0.50-$0.70 per day.

Let me know if either of you get 6 750ti's working on that board.  On win7 64bit I think I could only get more than 4 working if I didn't use the x16 pci slot.  I ordered  non powered 16x16 riser for testing since that should work fine and my 750s have 6pin connectors on them so i'm not worried about power.

I'm not using the molex on mobo due to other peoples stories as well(and the lack of molex on the psu I'm using.  If 6 run fine with the molex plugged in or if the x16 to x16 riser is the only solution i'll try and remember to post the results.

I'm having a new problem here. When I plug a 3rd card into my rig, CudaMiner tells me:
Code:
Unable to query CUDA driver version! Is an nVidia driver installed?

nvidia-smi says:
Code:
Unable to determine the device handle for GPU 0000:03:00.0: Unknown Error

lspci | grep -i nvidia output:
Code:

04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1380 (rev a2)
04:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 0fbc (rev a1)

How can I get it to work with up to five cards? using ubuntu 12.10. With two cards, everything works as expected.
