I did a change on SSL cert to fix something. It appears that chat broke for some users.

This morning my wife was really disappointed when she checked her Faucethub account. She played always a lot at your other website faucetgame and she decided to withdraw 2x 90 000 satoshi to faucethub. With the balance she bought lottery tickets since 3 days. She was quite busy with it so I understand that she is really disappointed now. She told me also that each time she bought tickets she saw that it got deducted from her balance. How bigger the amounts of the lottery how more tickets she decided to buy. She did this all manually and reached around 0.015 Bitcoin before she was going to sleep. You left only 211000 satoshi and removed the other balance from her account. Her username is duivel at faucethub and faucetgame hope you can do something for her.

Lottery bug. 10/Dec/2016

We would like to inform you that there was a bug/exploit on the lottery between the times of 10:30 PM GMT 9th Dec to 8:30 GMT 10th Dec which allowed users to purchase free lottery tickets. This exploit was possible due to a change in the cache system earlier in the day, resulting in users tickets not being removed for up to 1 minute after the lottery rounds ended. Some users found this out and decided to exploit it, others had no idea about the bug, and others had auto bot turned on which exploited it without them noticing.

During these times over 10+ false Bitcoin was "won" by "lucky" winners. Some of those users shared their winnings and rained on others in the chat and many levelled up by +10-20 levels at once, some of them levelled up to over 100+. Unfortunately all of the lottery wins and tickets bought, levels gained and rains during the time mentioned above has been returned/reversed.

In addition to that, if you participated in the lottery or got rained on then any EXP earned from faucet claims, Offerwalls or Rock Paper Bitcoin has also been reversed for you (so you may have lost 1-2 levels at most). If you did not play lottery during the times mentioned above then you were not affected by this and can safely ignore it.

To make up for this we will be raining 0.24 BTC later today, so make sure to join us in the chat over the next 24 hours!

I was really disappointed when I woke up and saw that there's 10+ BTC owed to users, due to a lottery game bug, which was 100% my mistake.
Since I always pay for my mistakes, I'm going to rain 0.3+ BTC today in the chat. I've rained more than 0.11 right now.

When a user buys tickets, his balance will drop. Tickets cost, they're not free. Each ticket costs 10 satoshi.

Now, tell me one thing. Do you think I owe your wife 0.015 BTC, which was caused by a bug? No balance has been touched from any user who didn't get rain/lottery tickets & tips, from coins they got from the lottery bug.

-all I did is reverse the amounts which were given by the bug-

No one lost coins. Just a few hours of his time. In order to compensate everyone's lost time, I'm raining $230 (BTC0.3) in the chat today.

I'm really sorry, but I can't do anything about those fake coins everyone got (not only your wife). You'd have higher chances achieving something by simply PMing me, emailing me or contacting me privately, instead of making a post about something which is already stated on the website.

Like I said. No coins were lost. Only a few hours of your life. Everyone is going to get bitcoin from the rain.

Also, keep an eye here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1710273.0

EDIT: Balance: BTC: 0.00336067
that's your wife's balance after all those rains.

Thanks mexicantarget for replying to mine post I understand your side of the story. You can't simply accept the 10+ btc that is won during a bug and abused by some people who did know about it. Think that you tried to compensate the users with some extra rains. Hope you can understand that for some people it started today with a disappointment  when they did see there deducted balances. After your explanation she understand what did happen but that was not the case a few hours earlier.

No I don't think you owe my wife or anyone anything during the period that people were exploiting the lottery.

Yeah man, here's the thing:

The min bet was 10 satoshi until like 6-7 hours ago. I had to change it, because of the reason you mentioned.

If you bet 1000 satoshi and I bet 50 satoshi, you will get back your bet + my 50 satoshi, in case you win. You can't lose more than the other player has put as bet. (This is safe, it was the first thing I had to take care of)

For that reason I've made an algo which will pick users who have the closest bet.

If there's 8 players betting 50 satoshi and 2 players betting 70 satoshi, those two players will be picked and play against each Smiley

Hello, today i added doge faucet, and i have rewards like 1.25 2.5, 2-5 etc., but it seems it's not working correctly it, it always pays out whole numbers, not random. Btc and ltc faucets are handling it correctly, just doge faucet is the problem. Also, as i remember correctly you said there will be no support for other cryptocurrencies from FB, did anything change, are planning to add any more Smiley

Hey there,

To send DOGE payments, you need to send to the API in dogoshi. E.g. 0.00000001 DOGE is sent as amount=1 in the API. So to send 1 DOGE you need to do amount= 100000000. (100 million. The system counts everything based to bitcoin Satoshi)

Regarding other currencies, it's hard to say, honestly. From the research I did, there's not a lot of altcoin faucets (except for DOGE/LTC ones).
Maintaining more daemons would become a frustration, just to have another 5-10 extra faucets on the site.

For now, faucethub will stick to DOGE & LTC altcoins, until further notice Smiley

Thank you very much!
