Hi Ethan,

Any plans to make some good banners for YOLOdice? A mixture of the content you have when loading the site and the general Yolo logo would be pretty cool.

Would like to put one up on our site Smiley

Cheers,
Tyler

What to work on next?

Here's the update on the last "what to work on next"? question:

✓ night mode theme - done
✓ expose API - initial release - done (it was a lot of work actually)
× .onion address - not this time

I have pushed countless minor improvements and fixes too.

Here are a few ideas from our users I would like to explore this week:

* "cheaper withdrawal" option - you could either request an immediate withdrawal (1 withdrawal = 1 transaction, immediate, as it is now) or schedule a withdrawal for the next batch (1 transaction = N withdrawals, sent within few hours max).
* a rainbot (tips active chat users) and chat-based games (a trivia bot that asks non-trivial questions?)
* redesign the autobetter - people find current "hooks" difficult and I agree, this can be done better and easier
* API (script) examples - almost-ready to use scripts to run (e.g. to play martingale)
* banners to promote YD
* private tips - right now all tips are publicly announced in chat. a private tip would not get a notification in chat.

Tell me what you think
Cheers,
Ethan

My opinion:

- .onion address is not critical. Not sure who even uses that?
- Cheaper withdraw option great idea.
- rainbot and chat based games - bitvest have done this pretty well. You may get extra volume but I don't think big players rate this feature.
- Make the autobetter as simple as possible. The site is unique which is great but the autobetter needs to be generic so players of all sites can get it quickly.
- API - Not sure how important but you are almost there!
- Banners - Yes! GIF's if you can.
- private tips - good feature.

I think it's: cheaper withdrawals, banners and autobetter then. I will keep you updated about the progress!

Just a quick question - do you think the whole player panel needs a redesign? I am collecting opinions :-)

I like how you update community with what you are working on, it is nice to see that there is constant development going on to make Yolo a better service.

Some of my comments:

- night mode was a great idea - I pretty much use this skin exclusively now.
- I don't care about .onion address - I don't think it is a priority, as I don't see many major sites offering TOR browsing anyway
- people love mini games and chat trivia bot would be a great addition IMO. Could you please give us example of questions you have on mind for this quiz?
- every other change is a step in good direction, keep the good work up

Hi, I have some question after some days I've played in Yolo dice site.
1. I can't custom my autopilot mode. Meaning, they just allow me bét the same amount for rolls. Example: I just can bet 0.000002BTC for 10 rolls in the autoplayer mode but I want to custom my bet like base bét will be 0.000002BTC, if I lose my bet will be increased x%, if I win my bet will back to base bet. Maybe there are some functions allow me to do that but I don't know, số căn somebody help me with it?

2. Is there any chat box event in yolo dice? I think that will be a good point if you have some chat box tips or quiz,...

Thank you for reading and help me with those questions.

Nice dice site, but the referral fee should be higher. If you give like 30 or 40% you can get more referrals, and the site will become even more prevalent.

Hi there!  Let me see if I can help you out a bit:

1.  After you click the Autoplayer button, you must also click the Enable Hooks button.  After you click this, if you click the question marks, it explains how to set up the hooks.  Using these hooks, you can definitely set up a base bet to increase by a certain amount or a percentage on loss.  This sounds confusing in text, so I'll give you a picture of an example.  Let's pretend you wanted your bot to bet 0.001 BTC, and increase 20% on loss, resetting to base bet every time you win.  That scenario would look like this:

20% increase on loss is the same as multiplying your base bet by 1.20, 6% would be 1.06, 90% would be 1.90, etc etc.

Just don't forget to put your payout multiplier in the spot I have arrows pointing to!  The autobetter uses the multiplier that's in the main section for manually betting (I believe it uses the initial bet amount as well).  It's a bit confusing, I know, we're taking a look at re-designing the autobetter and making it simpler.

2.  I personally do rains in chat when I'm on, and I've done rains/trivia on behalf of ethan_nx before, but right now there's no bots.  We may assemble one at some point though!

Some well-established sites have 10% of the 1% House Edge, and we have double that at 20%.  Not only that but we add 10% of the casino's profits to the referral payouts.

30-40% is a little bit ridiculous to expect from a new casino that doesn't have thousands and thousands of BTC in its bankroll.

That is right. I think the actual House Edge for YoloDice is very good if we compare it with others. Also not all casinos offer referal comision , so everyone should be happy for this

30-40% affiliate earning is too generous, standard affiliate earning of dice site is only 10% from house edge. If a site gives 30-40%, it will not make the site becoming better but it may make the site sounds fishy IMHO.

Yeah i admit it that 30-40% is really a good payout just from affiliates but it does not mean that the site will become scam site though. As long as they can pay it does not matter. May be this is just some promotion to attract more people here and after some period of time the site will be back to normal with 10% affiliates program. But may be with 30-40% it has different count too, may be count only win or may be loss only not a total wagered

Actually, how does the site make money?

Referral is 20% but commission on investment is only 10% of profits... Assuming perfect ev, the site loses that extra 10% whenever a referred player is playing because it pays out more in affiliate commission than it earns in investment commission. In fact, with the opening bonus in the affiliate system, the site doesn't even get commission because it's all distributed among the affiliate partners...

I assume the site depends on the admin investments and non-referral players for its income? Sounds extremely risky to me

I believe they invest in the bankroll themselves at the moment and that the profit share for bankroll investors is at this level until it gets momentum going. Pretty good incentive to invest if you ask me, and so is the affiliate % for a dice site. Sure most Bitcoin Casinos offer a lot higher affiliate % but they also have a ridiculously higher house edge, which seems to lead to less volume and thus lower affiliate income (although they are very translucent on the volume numbers).

I really believe this site has the potential to become the next Betking in terms of bet size, volume, and bankroll. Especially given the speed and skills of Ethan to fix/change the site so far.

Will be watching this site closely (particularly as we are invested in the bankroll!!).

Also waiting for some nice GIF banners  Cheesy

One easy answer:
YES

Grin
That's the main weakness of Yolo dice. The playing page is complete, gives lots of options and works perfectly. But it's incredibly not intuitive ^^
The only real problem is ergonomic. As an engineer who work a lot on digital creation I'd say you must have a playing page answering a few important points:
-it must be the first thing on which you land, not the welcome page, really the play page
-you got to have a big play button, important
-you must have like 3 options, /2, *2 and max that's all

Keep the numerous options but in an "extended version" you can activate only if you want. It will help getting new players IMHO

As of right now, you'd be correct, a good portion of site profits is going right back to affiliate partners.  The 10% of house profits going to payouts was a sort of launch promotion that ethan_nx liked, so I'm not sure if it's a permanent thing or not.

However as far as I know, the 20% of the 1% House Edge commission is here to stay.

You are correct though, house profits could certainly be higher if they did away with the 10% profit bonus paid to affiliates, but a lot of people seem to like it and use it to bring new players to YD.

Ahahah xD
That's what I call a 100% precision answer!
"maybe, sometime, it depends" thanks captain obvious Wink

Anyway if you invest you will probably have a quick profit simply because of the house edge of the site. but as retrocoingames said, it's still all a question of luck!
