From now on you can follow people on YOLOdice:

Why?

1. Whereever their user names are listed in YD, they are printed green so that it's easier to spot them:

2. You can follow you friends and use "follow" as a contact list.

3. You get XP the more followers you have and the higher level they are themselves:

I like the new follower feature. And to get xp along with the level they are makes it a cool feature because then you get the Yolodice RockStar feature faster because you are a very high level if you are on the site alot anyways.

That is a very interesting feature I have never seen that before. Way to go on being different. What I like about your dice site is you always have updates and they getting better all the time. It is active. You active here as well and have a good way to promote. The signature participants for Yolo are really good and it makes the casino look good. Starting 3rd July we are increasing our investment commission from 20% to 35%. We will use the extra funds to balance our budget and finance the player incentives like Rakeback, Referrals and Faucet which already attract new players and keep the site growing.

Long version:

We constantly keep adding features to YOLOdice. Some of them (like Referrals, Faucet or Rakeback) effectively lower the house edge for players. Since we did not increase the commission rate when we introduced Rakeback and re-designed Faucet, the increase is mostly to balance our budget. We wanted to see how new features work before we offset these costs to investors. Now we can see they do work pretty well and are already encouraging players to play.


The roadmap (dates are in UTC timezone):

* Sunday, 2nd July - the last time a weekly commission will be taken at 20%
* Monday, 3rd July - investment commission will be increased to 35%; from now  on both weekly commision and on-close commission (when an investment is closed by an investor) will be at 35%

If you close your investment on 2nd July or earlier, you will not be affected by the new commission rate.


If you are curious, here's what we spend our commission on:

* Referral program - we pay 20% of house edge (0.20% of referrals' wagered) to  the referees. Most people come to YD through a referral link.

even if some of the old investors may not be too happy with the change
I feel that this is the right thing to do,your site needs to grow
there is a balance between attracting new players/investors and keeping the old ones happy
the sites with a huge playerbase would want to skew it in the "returning customers" favour
but the growing,agressively marketing new sites should invest more into increasing their playerbase and attracting new players

I know this is a great thing to investor because you increase almost 100% from before. But do you think it will decreasing your profit to developed the site as well? It seems that you really need some profit to improve more on your site(although it is already this great). And may be some other expenses that you really need. So this is already fix amount? Im guessing thats a mistake to keep the roll with 0.00 BTC as well. Because just imagine what they will get from you as profit or fee? They will ran out of business if kept giving you free rolls and earnings made from those free rolls. Or it might be the case that they have kept it for representation purpose only. I agreed with autobet option. There are few sites out there like freebitco which provides this option, and you can play maximum 1000 rolls with autobet option. Hope that yolodice will have it too. I haven't invested yet and this will bring new users to the site just to invest at sucha high commission rate.
But I do agree that the "old investors" do not gain from this during their time of investing but they have the option to close their old investment plan and open a brand new one in a just a few days. So nothing really to be scornful about.

Yeah ethan introduced following feature just weeks ago. Users on the site are liking it very much. However xp from following is still under test phase. It can be changed for better in near future.
