It's hard for me to realize we've been online for a year now. It passed so quickly! But I am really glad we made it and what we achieved in this year is just awesome.

Running a Bitcoin dice site has been much harder than I thought, but it's been a great experience. I am really, really glad we decided to build YOLOdice and make it our full-time "job".

A big "THANK YOU" to all our players, investors, friends, supporteds, moderators, bug-hunters - it's been a pleasure.

We have great plans for the upcoming months and we definitely want to keep making YD a higly-trusted Bitcoin site!

Cheers!
Ethan

Thanks to you too Ethan, few people have been as fast, transparent and innovative as you. Give yourself a pat on the back.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Yes its crazy how much time has passed. Its crazy how about a year ago Bitcoin was only around $1000

I particularily loved playing at your site due to your great support whenever I had issues. Its amazing that you guys managed to keep up with all this massive bitcoin adoption demand.

Hello,
Has anyone running the site looked into the latest Winners? it seems very unlikely that the house would suffer repeated large losses like it has. Ofcourse, its not impossible, but it may warrant an investigation as to whether someone was using an exploit.

I know the strategy the big whales are playing. The strategy works in the short term, but one would anticipate that if the same said strategy is continuously used, eventually one whale is going to lose a huge amount, more than the recent losses to the site currently. Of course, this is assuming the site is provably fair which we must assume that it is. However of course what is mathematically expected doesn't always eventuate, an endless lucky streak that bankrupts the site is possible, however extremely unlikely. Good luck all.

Have watched one of the players in the top 3 in the competition be up 1.27btc at one time then it went up and down for 10 minutes until he was back down to 0.639btc so he lost half of what he was once up just before hand.
But then again he was betting 0.125btc at one time several times and 0.05btc for the majority of his other ones.
So yes, it it more likely for these big whales to bust taking so much risk in the amounts they are betting with.

Most investors were investing with x10 leverage, so the maximum allowed win for a single bet was equal to 2.5% of the total real bankroll - which is around 15 BTC per bet. Those two big red candles can be translated to around -30 BTC loss for the house, so with 15 BTC limit and 49/51 bets it would take just around two consecutive green bets to achieve it, which is a 25% chance, so nothing statistically rare or impossible. When whales come to play, you can expect some wild swings, which may leave the house with big gains or big losses - accepting public investments is done to reduce this variance.

This makes sense with looking at those numbers mentioned.
I follow the big bets and wins being made on the site so I know what you are talking about with those examples.

I was just reading on another thread I responded too that their investor amount on x10 leverage works out the same way.

I love YD's referral program, it's so awesome!  I'm only 1 referral away from 100 referrals!  Woo!

I've also been paid out over 0.80 BTC from referring people (most of it was when BTC was lower in price, though), so that's great!  Thanks Ethan!

wow thats very nice, ur refferal is crazy bettor... btw how much ur reffereral wager till u can get 0.8 btc ?

referral commission is 20% of the house edge, so each bitcoin wagered by your referrals will give you .002btc, so that .8btc commission comes from 400btc total wagered by all of his referral.

@Kiritsugu awesome, I'm only around .04btc commision on my referrals, most of them are not really active LOL

Could you please elaborate a bit on how you managed to achieve this? All of these 99 referrals came solely from your signature, or do you have other sources such as social media / blog posts? Also, how much is the average earning per referral? Do they pay a fixed amount per referral or is it according to the amount which is spent on the website? And finally, how much is your earnings from referrals now, as the exchange rates have risen?

My referrals came from a mix of things; the signature here, Twitter/social media posts, and I've also referred some friends of mine.  I don't know the average, I've never bothered to calculate it haha.  But if I have 99 referrals that earned 0.80 BTC in commission then on average that's just under 0.01 per referral (however its skewed because a few of my referrals were "high rollers").

The amount you get from referral commission is 0.20% of the person you referred's wagered.  So if they wager 1 BTC, you get 0.002 BTC.

I'm not sure what you mean my your last question.  My referral commission is around 0.80 BTC, but its long gone.  I used it back when BTC was lower.  I wish I'd kept it though, haha. Smiley

There already is a level system, once you pass level 7, you start earning Rakeback, which basically negates some of the House Edge.  It's a bit different from how you described, but it already exists. Smiley

Only got to make a tenth of that amount for commission on my referrals.
Have around 75 of them but they just played a little and left when they first joined up.
None are active any longer so haven't received anything from them for the past 5 months when the last one joined up. Undecided

Two new commands have been added to AM

!mempool displays some statistical information about the fees in the mempool
!block displays some simple info about the most recent block

I hope to improve these commands and add more functionality later.

Managed to get to 17th place but I bet early so had over 1.04btc wagered at the start of the week but at that point I was 7th place for a long time until some heavy wagers were done and dropped 10 places down.

It was a good competition and was happy with the result.

Thank you Yolodice for another successful wagering competition.
