I've been looking at different fee estimations looking for ways to make the withdrawal fees smaller. Today I've changed the algorithm so that we now target withdrawals to be included in the next 5 blocks. The fees are a bit lower now (right now it's 0.00118 BTC for instant withdrawal) - still high, but better than before.

This is nice, the fees, especially for batch withdrawals are much more realistic now.

I just got an idea, you can do a fee optimization based on the amount being withdrawn. If a user wants to withdraw a small amount, you will likely be able to make a transaction with just one input, so the fee will be minimal, and if a user wants to withdraw a big sum, the fee will be proportionally higher. And then you can consolidate UTXO in your hot wallet during times when fees are really low, to prepare for fee spikes in the future.

As for LN, I don't use it because the devs don't recommend to use it for live apps, it's still considered beta, and I wouldn't want to risk the amounts I usually send, even if the risks are minimal.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Making changes during this period is a great idea because it is getting to be very difficult for people to make some sort of withdrawal without losing much of their money. I have done some from binance for example and it charged me 0.0004 or something, that is a lot of money for binance and they are the biggest exchange as far as I know which means they have a ton of withdrawals and my withdrawal came in with a batch as well, so they actually made a profit during this period when the fee is already super high.

Yolodice not going with that and trying to make it as minimum as possible and even maybe losing some money along the way shows how much they still care about their users instead of just pure profit and that is just make the experience here that much more intimate with the ownership.

These thieves and those who protect them will go to hell ... Cool
Interesting to see "thieves" in anything crypto related, after all we are so used to scammers that sometimes we forget thieves could be a possible name for it as well. If you could explain to us in detail what you have been through we could maybe tell you what is wrong and we could help you. I mean yolodice could help you mainly at this point, but if you think there has been thieves here for 3 years I would like to ask why haven't you done anything about it in the past 3 years and still get scammed? Thinking about it, if there was a single person who scammed people for three years, well he couldn't, nobody could do it for 3 years, they would be banned after scamming few people at most. Please let us know what the issue is and yolodice will help you and we would give you feedback on what's wrong.

You might have the cliche metamask three option thing. I am sure someone else did before them but metamask made it a bit more famous. Just have it cheap-normal-fast and according to that you either get it in 30 minutes to 1 hour, or 2 hours to 6 hours, or in 12 hours to 24 hours. Those are literally giving the power to the user and removes all trouble from you as well.

I have seen sites like this though but the danger is if users select the low fee option and it takes days (or weeks even at the current moment) and then they blame the site for scamming,,, even though there is nothing to be done.

I think if there is a way to integrate into one of the bitcoinfees estimations and show people how much fee they should put in themselves, maybe that would work better?

Either way, the fee estimate now is much better. Are you able to make RBF your transactions ethan,,, it can be an option to auto RBF for players maybe who want next block?

There are some thieves on Yolodice site and they have been active for 3 years. You still don't ban them. This reduces the quality and reliability of the site. This should put an end to it.

You should make a different topic about that, this is about investing in their site, or better, contact support admin

has there been an update about the dilution fee or setting up investments as a single pool so we can keep adding and withdrawing from it without having to close our invest?

Check out JacksClub.io, a 1% house edge casino that offers great rewards, including free cash and cars!

It doesn't have to be the responsibility of the house if they actually do send it. You basically tell them how much fee you are going to spend and you charge them exactly that, and you also actually send it with that fee. When you make it that transparent you are not doing anything that could be blamed. Let's say you have a low option that sends money with 20 sats/byte and that is a very low one right now, you will send pass it, it will still go, but it may take some hours to do it.

But if you charge them 20 sats/byte and they actually pay that and you send it that way, what can they say? They agreed on every single detail to begin with and you did nothing you didn't say. So, there is no angle where the customer could accuse the casino with anything regarding the withdrawal in that situation.

Hey, Yolo Dice, can you explain to me whats happened with my funds on your casino?
I send on 21. May 62500 DOGE and invest it in casino bankroll. everything looked good to this day 27. May. Now I have just logged in casino website, and I find that my investment is closed and all my DOGE exchanged for BTC and withdraw to 1PFiyK54aYAH7KoYAgx8gbZ3mFQTqyiFst address. Tx: https://blockchain.info/tx/b223db32c1e14c6c807411e02c60a493f0ba9eae912f4f57d25cbdfadfa128d6
My account is regularly registered and password protected, I did not receive any confirmational email, or any other notification about withdraw.
In login history, I can find only my IP address. it looks like your casino has been hacked
Withdrawal happened 2020-05-27 11:36:52 PM but in my login history, there is no login in this time. I have screenshots.
what happened here?

Hi there.  I've asked the Admin (Ethan) to look into this once he comes online, however there's a few different spots you can check first:

You mentioned you checked your login history, but did you also check your Connected Devices section too (same page: https://yolodice.com/#settings)?  Login History and Connected Devices are both important.

You say your account has a password, but are you using 2FA?  Do you have any API Keys you created (they would also be on this same page)?  If someone got a hold of your Private API Key (if you generated one), that could be part of the problem.

Additionally, if your PC itself was somehow compromised, this would also not show any new IPs.

I've been on the site since day one, never heard about any security breaches; even if there was some massive security breach, I am quite sure they would steal a lot more than just your DOGE.  Every time we've ever had someone make a complaint about missing coins, it was because their account was compromised, not the site.

Anyways, Ethan will look into it once he comes online again.  Can you provide your UID, if you remember it (the number next to your username), so he can look up your account?  It's okay to provide your chat username too (the one next to the UID), but please do not post your actual login username here.

Yes, I checked connected devices, and it's only my PC. There is nothing unusual.
I did not activate 2FA, I was planned to enable it, but I due to other work completely forgot.
I never use any API or something, "You don't have any API keys now."
Two years ago, I had a problem with the compromised PC and I was learned a lesson. I use a freshly installed browser used only for Yolo dice website and my personal bank account(nothing was touched there). Also, I have some of my exchange accounts logged almost all time, there is also everything okay.
I send email to support and write there my username and UID.
Waiting for response.

edit: Again, in login history, there are no login details in withdraw time. not even from mine, which excludes the possibility that someone from my PC accessed to account.

Do you by any chance use Windows 10? If so there is probably some new 0day malware going around where you might of had someone gain access to your PC. If its not that did you reuse the same username and password on any other crypto sites? If so then most likely one of them was hacked or they were a scam site just to get your information.

This is why you always need to enable 2FA. Because these days you can never be too careful. This is why many banks and email provider provide 2FA service because its not only related to crypto security.

Wait until the support gets back to you, who knows. Maybe it was some error on their end. But in the future always enable 2FA, all you need to do is scan a QR code on your phone and put in 6 digits afterwards. Doesn't take too much time.

Is there a possibility someone else already accessed your computer remotely, which explains why there is no foreign login? For example, my account settings keep me logged in on the same device so it is always auto there for me whenever I open it. If someone were to be able to take control of my PC remotely, they would be in my yolodice account just by visiting the site,,, makes me think I should not keep auto logged in,,,

Do you by any chance use Windows 10?

Yes I use Win 10

Quote
If its not that did you reuse the same username and password on any other crypto sites? If so then most likely one of them was hacked or they were a scam site just to get your information.

IDK, I have several username/password combination. But few passwords I use only on highly trusted websites.

But in the future always enable 2FA, all you need to do is scan a QR code on your phone and put in 6 digits afterwards. Doesn't take too much time.

Yap, a few days ago, my phone stays in the rain and guess what? I can't use it without repair.  Wink

I have already said on this subject, no need to repeat question and answer to that.
I use 10+ different services which require a login on a daily basis, in a different time, I must use auto-login. Also here am logged on a few exchanges (where I have much more than this vexed amount. There are no unusual activities.

Hi,

I've looked at server logs and I've compiled a summary for you - I've just sent it via email. It really looks like someone used your PC, all the requests look very "natural". So either you have malware that allows an attacker to take control over your PC, or someone just used your computer. I've found nothing in the logs that looks like unauthorized access.

If I can help you in any way - tell me, either here or via email.

Cheers,
Ethan

There are some thieves on Yolodice site and they have been active for 3 years. You still don't ban them. This reduces the quality and reliability of the site. This should put an end to it.

You should make a different topic about that, this is about investing in their site, or better, contact support admin

I have already told you earlier in this topic that:

We have told people since YOLOdice's launch that loans/trades (except YD accounts) are not allowed, and if you choose to engage in them anyway you do it at your own risk.  You should have reported this person for asking for a loan so they would get a mute, instead of loaning money to someone you don't know.  The Moderators do not get involved once you have already taken this risk upon yourself by loaning people money.

Spamming about this here repeatedly isn't going to change the fact that you getting scammed because you engaged in a loan that wasn't allowed in the first place is your own fault.

I cannot say it enough: Loans are not allowed, you should not trust random people on the internet in a casino with your coins.

These thieves and those who protect them will go to hell ... Cool

it seems you're the one who is protecting/encouraging them instead of reporting them to moderators in the first place.

Thieves? Are you getting scammed by yolodice's users? You need to inform them by sending a pm to ethan or email support with valid proofs. Anyway, if you are getting scammed, something like you give a loan to other user but he/she do not pay back it then it is basically your own fault. Bear in mind to avoid lending some money to other users, unless you know them personally. It does not reduce the reliability of the site, we cant deny the fact that online scammers are almost everywhere. Be careful.

I have proof. I have submitted my proof. Despite this, no action is taken. In this, the number of these people is increasing.

what kind of actions you're expecting from mods?
you're thinking like banning him permanently could solve this, but the thing is there are chances that he would create another brand new account and repeat the same thing.
in the first place, the site states that they do not involve/encourage loans/loan-dispute between users. but you loaned him on your special interest instead of reporting to moderators.

better get over this and move on. from next time better report them to any of the moderators instead of entertaining them, that is the only way one can prevent them. spamming this thread over and over again about it won't help you in any which way.

It does look like hacking all around. In a situation like that casino is not the guilty part, neither is the user, it is the hacker that is guilty and the common enemy. Normally casinos wouldn't want the fact that their users could be hacked easily and their money would be taken, that is not something casinos would want get out, so they wouldn't want something like this to happen to any of their users. Users wouldn't want to be hacked as well.... that is pretty obvious.

So, there is really no guilty part here. What could be done and should be done is to follow up on who stole it, check who and how reached the account together, and create a lawsuit to whoever has done it. Usually on crypto world when hacked people don't really do the legal way but they really should do it if they can.

Are you fine if that happens to you? and why do you conclude that casino is not guilty while they should check their site security day by day to see if there's no intruder can penetrate on their site and as what he said he don't have any log in activity and why does he  encounter those issue.

It's their job to make their user safety so they should act on this issue and check if their site not compromised or the person who claim is victim of malware, phising or any attempts existing in the net.

This has already been resolved. The site is secure, and the admin make sure of that. This boils down to a user not having full security of his account because they didn't have 2fa or a master address on. Leaving your money in a vulnerable spot without protecting it is user error.
