Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Beyond your comprehension grad... there are two types of intelligent species in the universe.

Those that live in harmony with life (and think that hitch-hicking by being good custodians is fun)

And those that plan a confrontation (and self destruct before learning dematerialization).

However it's hard to make space opera movie with humans as the little guy who just discovered fire...
