If your area tends to be dry most of the time, check into evaporative cooling AKA "swamp coolers".

Hi.
How about some third word solution? It is eco-AC, without electricity only works thanks to power of physics. (and yes, it works)
Wont reduce the temperatures to subzero but at least its basically free.
I think its like with RAM, never to much of it so if you can reduce the temp. even about 1 degree, it's worth to try. Additionally its fun to make and gives cool contrast with high-tech bitcoin miners Wink Just saying...

45-50c for s7s is too cold.. they will run better closer to 60c.

Considering he's aiming for 15-20, maybe he's talking about ambient temperature and not the temperature of the miners themselves?

It's pretty ineffective, though, and with that system there's no guarantee that winds will always be moving; assuming you have no backup cooling, temps could get dangerously high. Still a cool idea, though.

40 degrees celsius is still pretty hot, though, like mentioned in the video- im glad it worked for those villagers, still.

It doesn't actually work - it just compresses the airflow making it flow faster (but less OF it), it DOES NOT CHANGE THE TEMPERATURE.

The only reason it might make people feel cooler is the faster airflow will help your skin evaporate the water from your sweat glands.

If you want a REAL "third world" solution that works (in DRY environments like most of the Middle East, among other areas) go ANCIENT school and put a jar made of terra cotta in a room, then fill it with water and put it on something to collect the overflow.
The water will tend to pass slowly through the terra cotta and evaporate on the outside of the jar - this concept is probably THE oldest form of evaporative cooling that ever achieved widespread usage.

Terra Cotta is a somewhat porous form of clay that many jars used to be made out of - didn't work for storing water but it was good for stuff like grains.

I have heard of cooling by evaporation but I have never heard of using terra cotta. How effective is this?
Hope it does not spill out and spoil the equipments Undecided

The terra cotta stuff works, but it NOT intended to cool a room with a lot of airflow like mining gear would need.
For THAT level of cooling you need a full-on evaporative cooler - though there are folks that have videos showing how to "roll your own" evap cooling.

For your farm size, you'll likely need more than one evap unit, unless you go with a LARGE commercial unit.
