The problem is at that price you can buy an S9 and even if a board fails you are looking at a quicker ROI. They need to be quite a bit more competitive if they expect to really make any money on these.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Mechanically the S1, S3 and S5 are all the same (except the S3 has two fans). Since the only S5 thing this requires is the controller, you should be able to mount up everything just the same if you can find a Bitmain Beagleboner. The heatsink dimensions and screwholes are all identical.

(by the way, I know a guy with like a dozen of those BBB)

OOOH! Sweet.  So hummm................... HUMM>>>> Tempting to buy 1 board and one controller... very tempting... I think they are selling a controller as well.
