Anyone have an idea why the MtGox API seems to be broken when I request:

Code:
curl https://mtgox.com/code/data/ticker.php
Code:
<HTML><HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0"><SCRIPT Language="JavaScript">var coupon1= 145096021;var coupon2= 161156383;var style1=  41591907;var style2=  29262254;var add = coupon1+coupon2+style1+style2;document.cookie="NSC_DOSP="+add+";path=/";window.location=window.location.href;window.focus();</SCRIPT></HEAD></HTML>

Strange right?

Also:

Code:
curl http://mtgox.com/code/data/ticker.php
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>301 Moved Permanently</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Moved Permanently</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a href="https://mtgox.com/code/data/ticker.php">here</a>.</p>
</body></html>

MtGox's API page doesn't say anything about the API changing...

EDIT:

I don't hit the MtGox servers hard - I have rate-limiting on all my API calls and I cache the data locally as to not stress their servers.

Great, I'm stuck on the newbie and all day can't discuss technical issues on the correct forum...good way to foster a community...

It is also the only reason those posts aren't covered in a mountain of SPAM.

Hey tecshare,

In all the forums I viewed (discussion, dev, etc) I didn't see any other comments when this was happening. So I couldn't determine if it was an isolated issue or not.

And, to top it off, you're just posting crap / spam yourself. Why not just link me to the thread that explains the issue, instead of posting crap?

Or better yet, go hang out on /b/. Internet smart ass tough guys...love em. You'll fit in perfect with your silly images too!

Did you ever find any joy for your problem?

I keep experiencing this issue off and on. Haven't gotten a good solid day of access to MTGOX yet.

The normal https request has been working fine for me, but it isn't designed for frequent requests, so you might get blocked. If you need mtgox live trade data, you should look into the websockets API.
