Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

best pool for mining zcash???

I have given up pools.

Now I just sell my hash to Nicehash and get BTC upfront.

Crazy buyers paying premium for my hash... well .... I am not complaining.

That's awesome to know man, didn't know Nicehash would trade for BTC upfront, I'll have to look into that.

As to the OP regarding pools... I used suprnova, the problem I had with them is that it wouldn't let me cash out, I reached the minimum limit and I don't know why it wouldn't allow me to (the option to do so was "greyed" out on my dashboard), I posted and I emailed them, so now I have some stuck zec coins in there.  I'm not saying anything bad about them, but that's just my experience, plenty of good experiences from other people using them.

So... I too, am looking for another pool for Zcash using Optiminer, any recommendations out there from the community?

Just FYI:
I had similar problem, couldn't get reply to emails thru suprnova....  emailed OCminer here on bitcointalk, he replied immediately, fixed my problem immediately.  It seems he had an issue with not getting email via the contact link in suprnova.   I would suggest sending him a message here on bitcointalk...I think you'll be glad you did.  Suprnova is rock solid pool, been around long time, hang on to it!  Hope he finds the problem with his emails!  Smiley

Thanks for the tip man! I'll reach out to OCminer, yeah, I mean suprnova seems to be a great pool, it's just that something is up with it for me and it won't let me cash out.

Quick question, to all you R9 Fury users out there, are you guys using the latest drivers?

What's the preferred driver for the R9 Fury with Optiminer?  For the OS I'm using Windows 7 currently.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04, driver using AMDGPU-pro v 16.40, it seems the speed is not so high, around 460 h/s. I don't know where to download fgrlx 15.30.3.

is this miner better than claymore?

Not right now i'd say. We serve a large number of farms and nobody can get this stable on RX cards, on linux.

I run the PIMP OS and I haven't had any issues at all with stability under Linux running Optiminer or Claymore. My farm link is in my sig if you want to check my UP times.

PIMP your AMD & Nvidia Farm. Finally a Multi-Miner Linux 16.04 Distro with Web Monitoring and On the Fly Algo-Switching. My PIMP AMD/Nvidia FARM: https://miner.farm/farmer/554/farmstatus

Very nice setup and well organized

Your rigs could use a small tweaking though. You can get about 10% more overall if you push them a bit

I think the miner is already very fast. Difficult to increase speed any more.

And do I need to use these keys in the batch file?

--pci-mode <0-3>
Communicate mode between host and GPU. Valid values are 0-3.

   --force-generic-kernel
Force use of generic kernel even when a device-specific kernel is
     available

   --experimental-kernel
Unlock faster experimental kernel for certain graphic cards.

optiminer - I had a rig totally lock up last night.  The log below show something I've never seen before.  Any idea of what caused it?  Is the 'Concurrent write detected, queuing' a complaint that it can't communicate to flypool or that it can't write to a GPU?

Ubuntu 14.04 with the 15.xx drivers and 6 GPUs.

I've had a GPU lock up before and your watchdog reboots my computer but this time it never even envoked watchdog.  The next entry in the log file is when it was starting back up after I rebooted it.

I am using Ubuntu 16.04, driver using AMDGPU-pro v 16.40, it seems the speed is not so high, around 460 h/s. I don't know where to download fgrlx 15.30.3.

I'm with ya man, I have windows 7 right now and it upgraded to driver 16.60 for me, now it's super slow, around 330 h/s.  I can't find the old drivers, I'm wondering where the repositories are...

Thanks.  It seems I have to downgrade Ubuntu 16.04 into 15.04 to use this driver.
