People can't perceive this because the price is still more or less affordable, but soon they will realize how much of a mistake it was to not buy BTC monthly, as much as possible, trying to buy and stock on them. 3 figure per Bitcoin will be soon a thing of the past and there will be a lot of depressed people when they realize their mistake. Those are the idiots that are constantly waiting for "the perfect price" instead of buying at whatever price, because all prices are good in the long term I would strongly advise everyone to take such suggestions with a massive grain of salt. It doesn't matter if you personally spend all your retirement money on bitcoins and end up under the bridge in the end. It is your business after all and your choice. But if someone else blindly follows this or similar advices, he may be in for a big trouble in the future. |

For me, it's not an issue since I'm not a millionaire. But if I'm one of them, I would not worry about this issue because there are still other alternatives to earn money aside from bitcoin investment. Millionaires are millionaires. They do have many businesses that are really profitable that makes them rich. So I think it wouldn't be an issue for them if this will gonna be the status in bitcoin.
Indeed bitcoin is not the world. Anyone can survive without it, though I admit that bitcoin help me in my financial capability, but it is just one of those thousand assets that can be traded daily. If someone does not have bitcoin it is not the end of the world for them, they might missed the opportunity with bitcoin but then i bet they are already enjoying another opportunity. I think we can see the bitcoin as an opportunity to invest it and hold some for the future. You are right if you miss the boat to have some bitcoin under your belt is not the end of the world. People will have other assets like gold, shares or simply have some money in a saving account in the bank to have peace in mind  |

People will have other assets like gold, shares or simply have some money in a saving account in the bank to have peace in mind People who have money always have to diversify. Gold, properties, companies, even shares are good options. Money in the banks can be treacherous (never forget Cyprus, March 2013). So the idea OP tries to propagate is not very bad. But I see at least 2 weaknesses in OP strategy: * Millionaires of the world don't really stay on bitcointalk.org (though with some luck one of their advisers can be around) * If they buy all the available Bitcoin, there will not be enough for us, the "mortals" to accumulate more and ... get to follow our dreams |

the signs of economic crisis are on the wall. if you guys decide that it could be appropriate to own at least ONE btc, be reminded that this will be very difficult to achieve.
there are 16 million of you on our planet. but there will only be 21 million btc ever. 16 million btc are already mined. no one knows how many are lost, no one knows how many are held by hardcore hodlers (who will never sell), no one knows if the first million btc (satoshis stash?) will ever move.

If economic crisis are going to make BTC go to da moon, I hope this happens sooner than later  But I also think that it won't be millionaires that will drive the price in that scenario. They already have all the money in the world and probably don't care about something called Bitcoin. The people that will drive the price are the ones whose investments are badly hit during recession and they're looking for an alternative medium to secure their money before it becomes a survival issue for them. |

right now all the millionaire in the world are rushing to buy bitcoin since they have read this topic but in all seriousness it is already too late for anyone too big to get into bitcoin because there have been enough spread during the past years that they can not come in and buy cheap coins and become whales just like that. they would be forced to pay a lot more and that will derive the price higher even. That would be like the law of diminishing returns. At first, they would be able to grab enough bitcoins from the orderbooks even at crazy prices, but after the liquidity gets eaten away, with the supply of new bitcoins to the market constantly decreasing while the prices going higher, more dollars will be pursuing less bitcoins until markets become fragmented and disrupted while price quotations ultimately useless and irrelevant... That's why such things are unlikely to happen for real |

Nobody knows how many millionaires are in Russia,Putin 100 most wealthy persons are not millionaires ,you count them in bln and China how many is there,i dont think thay will buy btc maybe for fun only.Thay are not so much p2p

I don`t think that millionaires read bitcointalk,or will ever read your post. The economic crysis is here,it isn`t coming. Strange thing is that during economic crysis the number of millionaires actually grows. That's true. Millionaires don't give a penny about bitcointalk. If they want btcs they can buy. We don't even know if they have some thousand's as an investment. And yes economic crisis is now and here but taking a look in history books in these cases rich become richer and poor became poorer. |

Just an estimate only and even a small percentage invest and hoard bitcoin, it can really affect the bitcoin price. Some millionaires are monitoring the bitcoin and even invest in "small amount" maybe just several thousands dollars, its a big effect already. They'll hoard if the demand is great, and it will benefit us investors here but not for the regular spender. So we should know what side to play now. |
