The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Have been watching these charts once in a while ever since they were posted. Seems that the year to year BTC inflation is finally dipping below USD M2! So, necrobumping this

Very interesting to see the charts, Seems the inflation of bitcoin constantly decrease which mean rise of value and price. but the time on charts why just until 2014? Is the database just showing those times and no more recently update?

Nice chart. But I do not understand what "BTC weekly trend" means. Is that the change in inflation? I would suggest that you smooth the BTC lines and consider applying a logarithmic scale for the total overview, because the values are constantly trending lower and are becoming indiscernible in the end. Because Bitcoin's monetary inflation rate is determined by diminishing block rewards (see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130619.0) it would be most interesting to see possible deviations from the mathematically idealized values. ya.ya.yo!

The charts are already two years out of date, but are fascinating to pour over. There will always be an inherent inflation in BitCoin while coins are being mined while out pacing their implementation in real world applications.
Would like to see an update if the original poster is still around?
