I just bought an Antminer S3 and got all the hardware stuff connected, but now I'm having trouble logging in my miner.

I only have one Ethernet cable so that's hooked up to my miner and I'm using a USB Wi-fi adapter to access my IP. I checked to see which address the miner was set to but I can't access it and my connection keeps timing out. I can't even go to 192.168.1.99 or update the firmware.

Can anyone please help? Thanks.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

So I tried changing the subnet on my Antminer, my PC thinks it's an "unidentified network" according to the network settings. Nothing happened, still can't connect to 192.168.1.99

log into your router to find what ips you have.

When you have found your miner normally it should be Admin: root  Password: root

This should get your straight in.

Tried accessing my miner's IP through my browser and I'm getting a blank page. Any ideas?

Was the miner reset?
If you bought it from someone else and it's set to another static IP or even dynamic IP, there's no guarantee it's at 192.168.1.99

Reset the miner to factory settings and try again with 192.168.1.99

I was checking how to reset the miner before I realised I bought an S3+. There's no small speaker in my one and I can't tell if I'm pressing the button on the side of the Ethernet.

Does anyone have this?
