this may make sense only for alt. currencies.
Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

With shared hostings such as GoDaddy it's often impossible to compile your program(miner in this case) and if you run something which consumes a lot of resources your account will be cancelled.
However, with dedicated hosting plans.. why not)

Heh, I've been busy working on a PHP/javascript miner for the last week. The first version is almost finished. Of course it will run extremely slow(at least on free webservers), but as a proof-of-concept I think it's interesting.


Does anyone have any numbers about the cost of a dedicated hosting plan compared to the profit you will be able to mine on it? In other words, is it worth it?

my webserver is very cheap and I wanna make good use of me BTC there

I kinda doubt that webservers are cheaper than a PC you just buy.
