Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States, and the following day, "Black Friday", one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Economists are busy trying to predict how much people will spend in stores and online (including "Cyber Monday" the following week- a huge online shopping day) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping) "If consumers follow up Thanksgiving by spending a lot of money on Black Friday – and retailers show strong numbers – then investors might have their first indication that it is shaping up to be a particularly profitable shopping season. This confidence is reflected in the stock market. In this manner, Black Friday could be considered a leading indicator for the markets." "Shoppers told us they plan to spend 10% more this holiday season; an average of $1,121 each." http://www.pwc.com/us/en/retail-consumer/assets/pwc-2016-holiday-report-interactive.pdfSo, how does a strong US economy- as shown with the recent rise in the US stock market, bode for the price of Bitcoin in the coming months?

I doubt Black Friday will have much affect on the price of Bitcoin. I don't recall it ever being credited with having any significant/notable affect in past years Black Fridays even with the trend now of retailers starting their Black Friday sales earlier and online.

Last years Black Friday falls on November 27 2015 and rate at that time was $349.53 USD but a day before that it was $334.25, so that's a $15.28 USD difference however November 05 2015 rate is $425.10 so a $15 difference is not really a big deal since price dropped actually before Black Friday happened last year if we are going to base it historically.

i don't think many people are going to need money that much so that they liquidate their bitcoin to have the money to be able to purchase what they want on black Friday, so the drop part is highly unlikely.
on the other hand if there were some sort of bitcoin related black Friday meaning people could do their purchases with bitcoin and "with a big discount" that would have been a big deal for bitcoin price and it could go up big time. although i don't know if such thing exists!

I do not think that the effect on bitcoin will be big. The stuff people buy comes usually from larger companies like amazon. And those do not have bitcoin as a payment option in most cases. Maybe black friday will have even a small declining effect on bitcoin price. People buy things they don't really plan to buy because they are cheap. Then there is less money available to them they can put into bitcoin.

I don't think bitcoin will effect the bitcoin price for good, as we can see from the charts the bitcoin price has been dropped a bit and I think people will spend more cash rather than buying bitcoin.

Black friday is the start of the christmas shopping season in the US right? After turkey grub on thursday, known as Thanksgiving, the people flood the shopping malls the day after to spend their money for the first christmas presents. How many of that people may have some investment in Bitcoin and may liquidate that to buy some stuff?! Not so much I would say. Therefore I doubt it will have any significant influence on the price.

Not many merchants accept bitcoin by now so even there will be high shopping during black friday with discount i don't think there will be any impact on bitcoin price. However i am looking to grab some black friday offers from namecheap tomorrow as they also accept bitcoin. https://www.namecheap.com/domain-hosting-ssl-deals/black-friday.aspx

On other side, 63% of Americans don't want buy on Black Friday this year ... Why ? Because Amazon offer -20% and reducted delivery cost at this week.

Black Friday has been spread much by Microsoft this time. Possibly by the coming year Microsoft might come with a plan to get the attention of bitcoin users who wish to buy using bitcoin. Right now only few stores accept bitcoin and amazon in collaboration with purse had developed some unique buying possibility of required products.

Yes, personally I'm not looking to spend much this year, but that is because I already bought a new laptop I needed for work some months ago, and I'm saving money to buy a new watch. (I also try to save more money in general these days.) I never really understood the appeal of sleeping outside a store to get 25% off a TV anyways.

It could alter the price a little but not a considerable drop, because most people who will buy things in this periods in fact aren't Bitcoin users and the sales and tradings aren't affected. It will be nice that this black friday has some miners with 50% of discount. This way, Btc price would be affect (at least that).

yeah. a whole new wave of users will abandon bitcoin when none of their txs are confirmed and the fees turn out to cost more than what they want to buy.
as for using bitcoin for buying stuff = dumping for fiat so expect a drop, i'd love someone to produce some evidence. i've never seen any.

Depends on whether companies like Overstock do special black friday deals for those who pay with bitcoin. That might pique the interest of those who have never used BTC.

I don't see a reason for Black Friday to have any affect on the price of Bitcoin. I don't think it would be connected to the retail market of the US.
