The way I'm looking at this project, won't it be illegal in some countries to visit the site, I just want to know if I need to use VPN just to protect myself from any possible legal issue
You should use a VPN everytime you log your computer on. Why would anyone want to be tracked online and kill the little privacy we have left. I don't do nothing illegal but always use VP because I don't like the fact ISP's know everything I may or may not do online. The way I'm looking at this project, won't it be illegal in some countries to visit the site, I just want to know if I need to use VPN just to protect myself from any possible legal issue
ALWAYS use a vpn for everything you do on the internet! What kind of VPN are you guys talking about? How you can use VPN to connect to anything? VPN (be it ipsec, pptp, openvpn or any other kind of it) is a peer to peer protocol, where both sides have to know the keys, so you can VPN to your workplace network, or some other private network, but as far as I understand you cannot use VPN to connect to random sites? So I wonder what I miss here? |

Exactly! Thats why I tell - avoid Yobit at all costs. If they are so slow when they need to add something (for a payment), how do you this they will respond when you ask them something after the listing?  For example, what would you tell when they will put wallet on maintenance, and your coins will be locked, and they 'don't give a fuck about anything'..? |

Those are actually valid points, this is why admins are anonymous; Which is a good thing if you are trusting them, and a bad thing if they are not trustworthy. IMHO involving trust to cryptocurrency is a big no-no gamble, but then again i like to gamble.

Obviously anything is possible but its highly unlikely that purevidz will become a target anytime soon. You want to know who will be a target. Similar sites like what? These are the sites I currently have bookmarked on my browser along with purevidz of course. At a first glance none of those seem to have any kind of bounty system. Or cryptocurrency involved in any way. They dont obviously because purevidz is the first to do something like this but they have been in action for a wile and I never had any problems using them. I was just trying to point out that illegal stream sites flourish on the internet and stopping them is very difficult. Dare I say as difficult as stopping bitcoin. To stop these sites and bitcoin you would need to pull the plug on the internet and make everything go black. But as long as there are torrents there will be a good use for purevidz by both watchers and uploaders. I don't think you understood the point of those guys. it's got nothing to do with you, or you having a problem with it, public and private torrent sites are going down all the time. One of the biggest reasons of jailing piratebay founder was the profit he made. As long as the devs keep working and not getting identified, we are fine. If they stop working or get caught, Servers stop eventually working and we are fucked. Of course some are. the ones with stupid or lazy owners go down but who even uses those? I use a few and they ones I use are always up. Im not 100% on what happened with the pirate bay but im going to do some homework now so I can at least talk about it because right now I dont have that story. All Im saying is that if the devs are good at what they do and are serious about making money then this could be a serious money maker for everyone involved and its worth the few btc risk to find out. To others it may not be worth that risk but for me it is. Also google elitetorrents / star wars while you are on it... I've been trading pirated material since floppy disks and trough the bbs-era, and while torrents are not going away any time soon, trust me, every server host has a lifeline. Will do. Seems like your a pro at this. Maybe you should apply to be a mod or to work with the team. Could be a good fit. Maybe. |

i think by friday vidz be trading at yobit. don't stress just smoke some sess and wait.
But what makes you think that? They said on Monday that they started the process and its only supposed to take 2-3 business days and that's come and gone by now. Vidz only got the block explorer today so i assume it will take 2 days from today. but its just a guess maybe they add it in a few minutes. no one really knows but them whatever. it should have been added already. devs paid the fee so add it right away. why wait.? |

Hello everyone, currently we're working on some core features for the site that we expect to be made available on Sunday. Currently, we are still waiting to hear back from Yobit. Enjoy your weekend. The block explorer has been added to the OP which has raised some questions, Top 10 investor have 75% of the coin.. I think we can go to 5-10k when the marketing starts
there's still about ~53.5 million coins left to be withdrawn which is just over half the amount sold. Coins have been broken into change addresses due to the many withdrawals that have occurred so many of the top addresses are unwithdrawn coins. The development fund contains 24.6 million coins currently. We've added a section in the opening post for transparency purposes so that people understand how the development fund is being used and what it's being spent on. Could you please publish the Dev fund address in a visible place in OP, and officially keep it there so everyone could easily review it? You could ideally make it clickable to go Crytopid explorer, and also make sure all Dev funds are always kept there - without moving to any change addresses. Yes, we'll been moving the majority of the dev fund into a cold wallet address which will be made public and then expenditures will be made from a hot wallet. The cold wallet will contain 20,000,000 VIDZ and the hot wallet will contain the rest of the VIDZ in the dev fund. This will be done the same time as when our changes mentioned earlier are published to live, so likely Sunday. I'll try to get this fixed soon. People who want this issue fixed will have to redownload the wallet once it's fixed, but it is not a mandatory update. Thanks. |

If I understand correctly, you are establishing VPN connection to one of their servers, then go to open public internet through that connection. Well, that way you hide your data traffic from your local ISP, but the Cyberhost itself (and their ISP too!) can still spy on you easily. |

Why were my movie uploads rejected?
Was I supposed to leave them seeding for the five days no one could watch them because they were pending?
It's kind of frustrating when there is no place to get in contact with you, or to know when my submissions are going to actually be looked at, or even the reason why it was rejected.
I resubmitted some of them but I think I might just forget about doing it since I feel like I won't be able to get accepted unless I have a seedbox.
