Anyone else notice that MTGox.com is down???  Any ideas as to why?

Same problem here.....

Maybe it's a part of the DDOS attacks on the bitcoin network. First the pools and then the exchange places.

Hope they fix it fast.

Yes. Either they're moving to a new server or being DDoS'ed. Nobody can get a straight answer.

As I was refreshing the site, waiting for a price flux I got a page that said
(Dont remember exact wording)

Site down due to DDOS attack, something something something

The next refresh I tried resulted in a timed out web page.

I have a feeling that DHS or DEA is behind the DDOS attack.  I have a very sneaky suspicion that the problem is because of all the attention that online drug ring is getting in the press, or someone just wants to steal a lot of money.   This is their way of staunching a wound.
