Hey Fellow Bitcoiners:

This is my first posting and have just discovered this new and exciting crypto-currency.

Wondering if anyone would be so kind as to send me a fraction of a BTC so I can actually experience a bitcoin transaction. (I wanted to try bitcoin faucet but looks to be down?)

I would be happy to forward this donated amount to someone, like myself, who wants to see how a bitcoin transaction works in real time.

Eventually, I plan on doing a Dwolla / Mt Gox purchase, unless there is a better way that you would recommend.

Appreciate any help, many thanks for reading.

Stewart J.

Thank you so much Raigekisai!

I will confirm on my end. I'm assuming this is received automatically by the Bitcoin client application (3.22 beta) on my end?

There seems to be some connection/block activity now....

Will keep you posted.

Again, many thanks for helping me test.

Hi Dark,

When I receive the donation from the aforementioned on this post, would be happy to forward to you.

What version of Bitcoin are you using?

I had to downgrade from 3.22 to 3.21, as it seems to provide more connections. Also I read that once you reach 130130 blocks, then bitcoin transactions will go through. Right now I'm at 127750 and counting.

Make sure you all are using the latest version of the Bitcoin client that came out yesterday.  It reduces the transaction fee to 0.0005, down from 0.01.

Someone sent me another .01 btc.

Thought I saw your post, then it disappeared.  I believe you wanted me to return back?

Could you repost your address and I will send.

So now after upgrading to 3.23 Bitcoin app,  I have two addresses, how handy is that?

Thanks for your help everyone!

Oh, sorry. That was mikel123. I had to delete his posts because of another thread.

Edit: His post didn't have a return address, so you'll have to PM him.

bitcoin generally takes ten minutes to process but can take much longer due to the random nature of things

If you found that funny or something i said useful i always appreciate spare change

Hey Dark,

Is your bitcoin app showing more than 130130 blocks? And how many connections is it showing?

With my 40+ connections and over 130130 blocks, my btc transactions came in fairly quick.

I upgraded Bitcoin app from 3.22 to 3.23, and then I checked on "Map Port using UPnP"

That gave me more connections, from 9 to 39.

I'm up to 126700 blocks and am only get 8 connections even with the "Map port with UPnP" box ticked. Would my router be causing problems?

Can someone send me a little bit of a bitcoin? My address is: 1KaKaMokZ9WzY67B2Ac63xonNSx6N47kfw
