I'm looking to buy Litecoins as quickly as possible in The Netherlands. Preferably through Bank Transfer.
I heard buying Bitcoins and exchanging those for Litecoins is currently the fastest and best way. If that's the case, how can I buy Bitcoins as fast as possible and exchange those for Litecoins?

What's the fastest way of acquiring Litecoins right now?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

LTC can be bought from either btc-e.com or vircurex.com. Both have funding options that may suit you.

I find that BITINSTANT to a trusted wallet in the exchange of your choice works the best, then converting to LTC there.  You'll have to do homework and find the one with the lowest fees, but i believe bitinstant only charges 3.95, no matter how much you send.

You can buy with USD.  No need to convert to BTC first.

You can buy with USD.  No need to convert to BTC first.

Assuming you can get your USD into BTC-e or Vircurex, that is. Neither is as easy as it sounds. BTC-e is notoriously hard to deposit to since half of their USD deposit options are shady russian sites and the others are exchanges that charge an arm and leg or force you to wait 3-4 days on a wire transfer (which costs ~$15). Vircurex only accepts VouchX as a USD deposit option, which is equally difficult to fund.

Your best bet is to buy bitcoins through an exchange like Mt.Gox/BitFloor/BitInstant/CampBx/Bitstamp/etc. and move those BTC to an altcoin exchange.

Just so you know, the fees at btc-e is pretty high for LTC. I prefer cryptsy or Vircurex for this reason.

The fastest way could also be trading with a member on the forums.
Keep in mind that if the member does not have lots of rep (or even if they do), use escrow to make sure you are not scammed.
