Agreed, proof of identity doesn't make anything more legitimate. I would be opposed to any gambling sites that require documents/identity information. In the case of BitDice, I don't think that adding an email to your account can be compared to requiring documents/identifying information. How do you know if the increased number of online people is the effect of the signature campaign? Sure, it may be the effect of the campaign but it may be caused by something else. I do believe bitdice not only rely on the sign campaign to get more and more players, they might have some other advertising ways out of this forum.

The advantage of hiding our online status is that no one will know that you are gambling by that time, that's the only thing I know for hiding your status.
