For me it was almost 2 days
This is the same as it took last week when the blockchain was saturated with transactions and the rest being unconfirmed just like it is becoming now.

The longest time I had to wait was about an hour, which is more than fast enough for my purposes. I always pay sufficient fees, though.

I noticed that are a lot of people complaining about confirmation times recently. However when you take a close look at it, you will notice that these complaints are almost always made by people who do very small transactions with very low fees. This smells like propaganda of the big blockers.

In life, not everything is free. I don't feel any pain paying adequately for the great service Bitcoin offers.

I think the longest was when my boyfriend decided to send me some mbtc on my wallet on YoBit to I could buy something to myself. I was waiting about an hour and scared a lot cause it was the first time and I was afraid to I gave him wrong address or something.

The longest bitcoin transaction that i have waited was around 2 days or so, it was few months ago.

Luckily it was small amount received, and no need for it urgently.

The longest that I had to wait to receive my bitcoin was less than 24 hours ever.
Now that we have other currencies transactions some times takes more than 72 hours.

Not to mention the 99% super fast all times transactions of bitcoin.

Honestly, it is two weeks. I do not know why but after more than two weeks i receive no confirmation to my transaction. It was really bad and I was cursing the Blockchain system all the time. Finally, it still got at least two confirm and everything went back to its normal way. Now, to avoid waiting for confirmation, I always charge the fee higher than usual

Longest bitcoin transaction that you have waited?

As far as I can remember, the longest bitcoin transaction is between 10 to 30 minutes or even lesser. I didn't know the exact time since I leave the transaction and comeback after 30 minutes later. I never experience waiting for days or several hours.

144 minutes!
Being a newbie, I only broadcast one transaction so far:
https://blockchain.info/tx/b606ad986d7c16e0a8b13d6a5a5a58bbb938413b04c74bfcc32b711478ad43e1
Oh snap, that's nothing!  I waited for well over 18 hours for a confirmation to Circle one time.  It wasn't anything important, but it was quite annoying.  If ever you were looking for a reason why bitcoin won't be readily adopted by the unwashed masses, confirmation times is that reason.  Who in their right mind is going to wait for hours at a merchant whilst waiting for that?  And I understand that you don't really have to, but I think it'd be risky not waiting (for the merchant).

Just my 2 cents.

The longest time that ive waited on recieving bitcoin in my wallet is on the max of 4-6 hours even im paying the highest fees especially on to those previous days on which there are lots of unconfirmed transactions thats why im always using the highest fees because im in a hurry sometimes but if im not i just paid off small amounts of transaction fee since it will really arrive on my wallet.

OP, it is funny that you made this thread. I just had my longest wait for a confirmation just yesterday. I waited around 6 - 8 hours to get one small transaction to be confirmed. I checked the mempool and it had a really high no. of unconfirmed transactions. Should this be a cause for concern? I do not think this is normal anymore.

Recently I have transacted a small amount of bitcoin, 2.5 mbtc only, and I put the transaction fee as custom and tried to have a low fee as possible and it's a decision I didn't do well because it was confirmed at least for 5 days. It wasn't really important but of course, you already sent it out and I didn't expect it to be that long. It was the longest time I waited for just 1 confirmation.

Mind of sharing your longest bitcoin transaction waiting process?

As I remember it took more than 24 hours. Though its not a huge amount from the payment of a campaign I participated before just 0.025 btc
I guess it happens when the bitcoin price reached again in 700 USD last month and I'm a bit panic because its my first time to experienced that and I have no choice but to wait it confirmed

it is not a good time to send bitcoin, unless you pay higher fee. so it is better to wait some time.

well, as long as I do transaction, I have never wait until 24 hours for a transaction. the longest transaction time I have ever had is about an hour only.

Yeah. the normal waiting time for Bitcoin transaction is 4 hours if you pay the normal fees. But, the longest time I've wait for the bitcoin to be transacted is 24 hours. It is when the Blockchain has updated its server causing many transactions stuck. But, if you pay larger fees. The transaction is faster.

My longest transaction took me 36 hours of waiting , I am pissed that time because i am paying someone with my bitcoin. Our transaction has been cancelled because of the transaction time. I pay regular fee that time . I think the faucet transaction that is paying hourly is the transactions that flood the system

Actually I experienced the longest bitcoin confirmation time today. I sent some BTC on Thursday evening and it got confirmed 3 hours ago.
If I knew that I will have to wait so long because of the problems with stressed network I would rather wait...
