Here we go again . MULTIPLE people have been scammed by sellers myself and others have highlighted before .

Yet again another few have been scammed and NOTHING is done about it .

Is this is how its gonna be ?  Scam and keep scamming because no-one here can be bothered to do the decent thing ?

SHAME ON YOU ! !    I hope one day you wake up and realise just how pathetic you are .

AND to the others who name call when they see me posting on these scumbags threads    FU too .

Be bothered to make a scam accusation with a decently written report and with valid proofs. Then they should get neg-tagged by DT members.

IDK if you have made a scam accusation in the section yet but nagging in a Sales thread rarely gets any attention

2) Crybaby who himself didn't make a scam accusation, and is instead trash-talking about the moderation of the forum. BCTTalk doesn't deal with scams even its more than 10 BTC scammed, deal with it.
3) Attention seeker, why should anyone bother with your feedbacks when you are barely a full member with no trusted feedback. The marking is supposed to be done by DT members(which everyone sees in "Trusted feedbacks"). The ones you give are only viewed as "Trusted" to yourself, get some more knowledge of the trust system if you want to know more

Doesnt matter if its $1 or $100 . If someone scams someone then it should be reported . All my transactions in public are small . Shouldnt matter .

No. Scamming is never "right".

Where did you report them, and how? reporting a suspected scam to moderators is not going to help very much.
Calling it out, informing DT and investigating however possibly is.

I can do something about it. Not much, but I can leave warnings that are ideally seen by potential trading partners and hence help them not to fall for it.
The same ability have quite a few other guys. Either your report wasn't clear enough or it didn't reach the right guys. Either way, give them a break.

amsterdamse-gracht already gotten a neg from Vod, however staff will not ban most scammers. There is a possibility that they may get banned but imho, I feel there should be more strict rules in place, especially when it comes to new account creations because I see it everyday of attempts of scams, while some users who been here for awhile end up scamming users themselves.

However, while its not right to scam, I feel most of the blame can also be shifted to the user(s) who is doing business with the scammer(s). While we do not know when it can happen (as it can happen at any time), its always best to do your due diligence. Figure out what the user is doing, why, etc. Ask questions and dont just jump on the party boat with others. Check previous post, look for different signals, gaps in post, etc. Just like in the real world outside of BCT, there is nothing that can be done about scammers in regards to bitcoins. This is why escrow should be used, have them send first (assuming collateral is in place),

If there is any scams going on, report it, DT may flag the account(s) if they find that the report is true, but its rare for staff to come in and ban the account (possible but rare). Just take precaution.

Thats my whole point !    These guys have scammed 50 + between them ( probably a LOT more ) and they are allowed to continue .

Anyway, forum moderation is not here to moderate scams. Mods used to be involved in scam investigation some time ago(when only a staff account specifically made for tagging accounts could change someone's status to a scammer) however these days everything is upto the buyer's discretion. If you don't take precautions you'll be scammed, its that simple.


P.S: I guess you can't go without cursing every 5 words after all

No, it isn't right that people get scammed.  That's been discussed here ad nauseum, and the bottom line is that moderators aren't going to do anything.  If you get scammed, YOU red tag them and recruit DT members to do the same.  That's the action we've all kind of settled for on the forum.  Don't get emotional because the mods aren't doing what you want them to.  That's gonna happen a lot.  Nothing is perfect on this forum, and we all just have to do the best we can with what we've got.

If we were going to ban people for scamming then in my opinion you would be banned for trying to extort people. You also knowingly buy stolen/fraudulently obtained goods which is a crime and makes you as bad as the scammers yourself so under your very rules and my interpretation of them you would be banned. And that's why moderators don't deal with scams. You could buy something say it doesn't work then cry that person is a scammer just to get them banned or your money back. Oh wait, that's exactly what you do do. As I and others have said multiple times it is forum policy not to get involved with scams because of the sheer amount of time and effort that would be wasted on it not to mention what happens when we get it wrong or ban the wrong person because we've been given dodgy or fabricated evidence? Users will just try wipe out their competition and we are left to try decide who is the bad guy here. Staff are not here to babysit you and you are responsible for your own money not anyone else so that's why the community policies itself on these matters. If you don't like it then you're free to leave.
