if you want real news go to a real site. none of the 'coin' news sites are any more legit than most of the services and coins they cover. it's just as shitty as it's ever been.
Yes, But remember if cointelegraph hadn't done it in the past. And I guess, it will sacrifice the site just for earning some bucks. Because there is some people felt if they still a reliable site right now.
As I remember, Cointelegraph always published such sponsored advertising articles. News sites shouldn't work in this style. It becomes hard to trust cryptonews sites. This is why I prefer to follow news on bitcointalk instead of crypto news sites.

yup. most of them do it multiple times a week and most people reading it don't seem to give a shit. there've only been a handful of sites with any integrity and the will to unearth some actual truth and news like coin fire. the rest are all empty whores like so many others on the crypto scene.

Now, what are they? Journalists or coin pushers? What is the difference between promoting a business you have a stake in and posting sponsored articles? Not here to defend Cointelegraph, but it's a common practice.

It is not like you can find objective cryptocurrency journalism in the first place, every news site has its own agenda and are not here to educate or inform people but to earn money.
This is the reason we have sponsored articles, paid advertisements and articles about certain altcoins spreading. Don't live in the dark - do your own research.

Some people don't consider Ponzi, HYIP sites as thieves, but as a ''gambling, luck'' site, because who is investing on those sites know about the risks and are just trying their luck, to make profit before the site vanishes. The only really affect by these scammers are the newbies believing they really can make profit. But surely it's not advisable to have such advertises in any sites.

They run they site and they need money dude. You can not criticize them for that. I have also seen blockchain.info advertise some cloud mining sites too. When you run a site which has a large number of audiences, you must put some banners to earn some extra money.

you can do it and apply some common ethics.

yup and that also equals building a reputation that lasts and grows. crypto's going nowhere and people will always be info hungry. you can build trust and keep growing into a giant or throw it away for $50 per scam article and be deservedly forgotten.

I agree. Why should I waste my time and read their "news" when I see them so obviously promoting scam/deceptive sites.
It clearly shows their lack of concern for their readers and just further highlights their main priority as making money.

I personally like crypto-news.net , it's a fairly new site but I've found some of the articles they've published as really helpful and informative. And, I have yet to see it promoting any sort of shady sites.

This is not a surprise at all for a blog site. Special those who accept pay per review. Yet this is not of course applicable for all bloggers(yet a very good of gaining people interest in your blog is to put some tactics in writing those). I've done being payed too review as site before and different client would always have different perspective(and you will just have to do your job). It is your choice at all if you do want to do it with ethical values or not.

You can clearly see tag: "sponsored article" which is basically paid advertisement in the form of a news.
Actually cointelegraph publish sponsored article from scams even if they have done research behind company/project they are promoting. I don't think they are not aware of this scam UFOminers, they try to just got away with all money in the name of paid/sponsored article aren't written by us.

They are known for promoting several cloud mining scams before too.

Calculations look good and you are determined to start mining? You might want to turn to UFOMiners LLC, as they will surely provide you with the best advice on how to choose the best mining hardware.

How many they have got paid for publishing the scam advertisement.
Cointelegraph = Scam advertisement site(Is the publication free for everyone?)

Anyone can confirm this?  Shocked

I am in no way surprised by this. If you read BTC news from different sites you notice that some news are very hypey and pumpy on Cointelegraph. The journalists at there are maybe biased and like some of the media outlets, even corrupt. Be careful in what you are reading and do not readily believe in them.

Yes but the announcement section of the alt is not pretending to be the media which is supposed to be honest and objective. The BTC news sites have the responsibility to bring the truth to the community not to make subjective claims and making promotions to benefit themselves.
