joe threw the dummy out of the pram and tagged them all to moderators. Deleted. KNC can't delete posts lol

Took me a while to figure out what the hell "dummy out of the pram" meant, but that is not the case at all.
I tagged 5 messages and our nice moderator Gmaxwell did a rather nice clean up of all the other garbage.

And yes I agree 80% of the stuff here is worthless.

Simple way to solve this: erase everything back to the point where Jupiters were 2nd batch shipping.

The fact is, KNC stopped updating the OP, which is where you're supposed to get information on a forum. Without it you end up with chatlogs of information. KNC failed to do their job, now moderators are trying to essentially spit-shine the Titanic while it's going down.

It would be best if the moderation stopped, and people just stopped posting in here altogether, unless they work for KNC. KNC isn't asking for the moderation

Well then lets hop back on the "KNC" train and ask the same question a million times over since we don't seem to be allowed to talk about anything else.

When will KNC be selling these upgrade modules? I've grown grey hairs waiting for them to give a simple answer. How hard can it be to figure out if you are going to be selling a product or not? You either have the merchandise, or you don't.

I honestly think the best thing to do is, for everyone whose interested, to email KNC in regards to the Jupiter  Module sales. Show them we have a lot of interested party who still wants them. I highly doubt KNC reads this thread, or even their own for that matter.

Anyone down for the idea? If we all send them around the same day(s) (perhaps within 2-3 days), I think that would have the biggest impact.

Absolutely!!

I just emailed info@ and sales@  and you should all do the same until we get an answer.

Been said already yadda yadda yadda but selling us upgrade modules instead of full units at this point is really friggin' stupid and a waste of time.  What are those of us with Jupiters supposed to do with them?  Not all Jupiters even have the expansion ports installed.

They should quit screwing around and sell some more Jupiters for super cheap.  They have made a lot of money off us especially those of us that returned for the Neptune preorders.  Speaking of which we deserve an official update on the project status right bloody now.

They should sell modules and Jupiters. They designed a product based on modularity, and 2 batches of it went out the door. They provided only a handful of modules total for the first batch. They then designed another generation of product, and sold 2 batches of it while the "modular upgrades" mantra was still listed as a selling point on the website. They took it off recently.

They have been somewhat deceptive in practice, of selling their equipment as upgradable, but refusing to provide said modular upgrades.

KNC, updates on modules and Jupiter sales?

Exactly. I only bought a KNC rig because it was supposed to be upgradeable with extra modules. Intending to let it earn it's own module upgrades. Too fucking late now. One tiny batch of modules which were probably RMA or something that sells out in minutes with no warnng was pathetic.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and accept that they cannot source the parts they needed to build the Jupiter's for another round of sales, but there is nothing stopping them from selling the upgrade modules. I understand not everyone can use them, but I have 3 empty slots in my Saturn+Module. I could use those 3 modules. That would double my hashing power with my KNC Gear. I have 1.5TH/s thats NOT KnC gear, I would really like to add some more KnC power to my total hash. I'm sure a lot of other would agree.

C'mon guys, lets try to make this happen. Please email KnC and let them know you are interested and you want to purchase the modules/ Jupiter's.

I've started a new thread regarding this, please have a look so we don't end up spamming this thread.

Thing is they might just not be willing to step into the arena with the prices as they are now. Unless they can offer something off the shelf, immediately available then they are going to have to compete with the competition on price/GH

So how does best value competition look now?

antminer (180GH): $1200 - $6/GH
A 650GH Jupiter at antminer prices would be around $4000

I'm pretty sure it does not cost them more then $2000 for all parts including labor. I'm sure they could sell them as low as $3000. At that price, I'm willing to buy a few Jupiters, even at $3500. And I'm quite sure they could sell the upgrade modules for $600-$800.

Due to Neptunes, KnC Jupiters are history for their customers. KnC is still sleeping well with Neptunes!
Overprices and under-deliveries are true with many Nov. Jupiters with dead Die issues!
They promise soon release patch tools but 2 months with no news about that.
Poor KnC on this matter!

Yeah, well they're going ot have to sell upgrade modules for less than 1.45BTC cause that's the price of antminers on bitmaintech.com. Yeah, the only ones getting their share of the network are antminers. I just used the coins I was keeping handy for KNC on antminers. Shipping starts Feb 8th.

My estimate is inventory cost of $1k for a jupiter. based on the price they insure for shipping.

KNC, will we see modules soon?

Who starts shipping Antminers on 8th and at what price ?

Thank you very much

They've been shipping since December 15th or so. They took a break starting today for the CNY. It ends the 8th.

Hoping KNC responds before then!

I have several antminers already, rock solid units. 350W so not horrible, but no Jupiter. 1.45BTC each for 180GH, start shipping after Chinese New Year, bitmaintech.com

To be honest that would fit their attitude since they got rich.... communication was awesome until the 1st Jup batch, fell away to almost zero.
Time to market was the buzzword, they never shut up about it, now it's secondary even though, if anything it's more important?

They had little real competition until now, maybe you're right, but maybe it doesn't matter because invesdurrs are done with them?
They no longer need us either way, we paid for their start-up. Wink

Among the miner producers that I had a pleasure/displeasure to deal with (4 different companies and 1 scam) they are so far the best. And this BS about upgrade modules not being available is actually BS. If you wanted to get some you did get some. I've got 3.

No news sucks, I agree, but what kind of news would you expect? Earlier delivery? Power consumption? Size of the case? Fab they are using? WTF?

I do not get this KNC bashing thing.

Uh, that's because you scored some upgrade modules. Those of us who didn't are rightfully pissed, and inb4 you say "that's your fault".
