Seems cool. Will order a miner
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I wonder what Accel Partners got for their $15 million. I sure hope it was more thnn the 5 Neptunes pictured  and some "magic beans". Looks like KNC has repeated, except this time they used folks with deeper pockets to keep their funding going. I guess the pre-order customers investors didn't pay well enough.

What a gigantic Cluster F**k.

Looks like they got the first 16nm chips in private mining operation.

"better efficiency results in even more environmentally friendly Bitcoin transaction processing."

What a bunch of BS. 110nm, 65nm, 28nm or 16nm has nothing to do with being environmentally friendly, unless everybody decides not to up their hashrate. These guys make me sick.

Me too, it's not just you. It's like these people read an article or two and all of a sudden they are professionals. Give me a break.

The company says the "environmentally friendly" chip, capable of 0.07 w/GHs, will increase the efficiency of its industrial mining farms by six to eight times.

I call this a very big BS. If the specs are that good why aren't they bragging about it on their main website? Coindesk has the same people invested as in KnC so it's a nice business practice to support them, but I don't believe that power consumption.

FUCK YOU KNC!

sorry to say it is there

http://www.kncminer.com/blog/newsarchive

that is not to say that it is not bullsh*t

although as far as I know no one else is doing 16nm (correct me please if I'm wrong hope it is not just these knc mopes) so if they really get 6x to 8x the hash over the 28mm and they
are like me at my 12c/hr (likely much much better) but say they get from my figures is something like for every 1 btc they make in elec they get 5 btc on the farm man i hope i have these calcs wrong (i included a guess on overhead/elec/workers etc...hell could be higher ...they would be just printing money big time with the low elec costs of Iceland (i'm sure someone will tell me that is like 2ckwh or something to add to my dismay) so for every 6 btc they make they keep 5 btc ....(man those calcs have to be wrong right it can't be higher then that could it?)

guess it goes to show ...evil knc makes a heck of a lot more money then good knc ever imagined at its 2013 start....or could imagine i guess ...went from nun to porn star for the $$$

only thing now is to hope a volcano pops up under their Icelandic  thermal active area for elec generation. that the data hall sits on......(hey still better odds then me hooking up with Natalie Portman...but not by much....actually watching a volcano swallow knc's data hall I'd pass on Natalie Portman  to tell the truth.....(naw...that would be dumber then buying the titan from knc ...disregard)

just hate the fact I'm gonna be hearing about these guys in the bitcoin universe for frigging years and years...argh....

Review of RMA

Ive recently used the RMA KNCs program and i wanted to make a real review about it, because we can read lot of things on this forum. I think that lot of peoples make fud and dont have Knc miner at all. So..., i needed RMA because one of my cube had difficulties... Ive send this cube with a tracking number. It cost me like 250 $CAD to ship it to Sweden (Yeah really expensive in Canada like lot of things...). It took about 2 weeks and a half before i received it. Since i use the new one, i have absolutely no problem with this cube.

Overall: 9/10 (because we need to pay the fucking shipping cost when we send stuff).

Hi guys.
I ordered a batch 1 mini titan. It is unopened and unused since its arrival in October. Are knc currently offering refunds now or what is happening?
Also, I have a case with ARN against Kncminer but haven't heard anything back in months. Has anybody had any success in getting a refund for batch one? Or any success with ARN, KNC and the whole business consumer Bs..
Thanks in advance.

I actually got it to work, but not sure what you are doing wrong. maybe if you post the mining config file I can take a look.

Are you using the latest firmware? 2.00?

Steve

I may have to keep posting my question as I think it will drown in the fud. Heres the truth KNCminer does not come here and read this hate. Im wondering if it might be better to setup a new moderated thread to help each other actually get tech help.

Again my question:

Hi guys , Im trying to get the "load-balancing" working. I have batch 2 KNC titan miner, and have tried EVERYTHING to get it to load balance. I can mine on 1 pool fine. The minute I add another pool and switch to load balance, the hashrate just stays at 0 MHS. Ive tried leaving quotas field blank. Ive tried two pools I can mine from separate and then add just those two pools and switch on load balance and add 50 in each quota box, still 0 MHS. ANY IDEAS? Has ANYONE got load balance to work correct?

good to know thanks....others with the same timeline (i should note : recently rather then their past dismal record?)

would be nice if at least this RMA turn around was a "trend"

if you want you need this to go to the next step as your only real option of $$$ back at this point imho

the class action below i think it is 10% of what you paid for the unit and to file with the law firm and other conditions (more if you lose) etc

http://kncclassaction.com/

As to your batch 1 mini-titan never opened....i'd just sell it for what you can ....can't believe you never used it (nor sold it on ebay) but no need imho
to keep it or not use it ...lots of folk in above class action have used their miners and are suing knc ..so i've read on here)

no luck on refunds i've heard of..so as your only options from what i can tell are 1) use the miner 2) use the miner and get in on class action  or 3) sell the miner for what you can now
on ebay etc

good luck

yeah contact sam cole ...ask if there is gonna be a home miner version for sale as a 'pre-order' if he says YES then we will know all these chips are
vaporware and they are again trolling for cash...(only this time pre-order big IPO $$$)

hmmmm....above was a joke...but knowing the folk at KNC it probably would be a pretty good 'tell' to use the poker reference

sheeesh ..I hope it is all just a KNC fantasy at this point and they really don't have a good source for these chips etc

Your giving them a 9/10 for waiting 2 and half weeks and you had to pay 250$.  Your like their perfect customer and dumb enough to order another product from them if they offered!  Your cube should have been sent out same day or next day and shipping should have been paid by them.  Your review is so reckless that some people might actually believe this is good customer service.

That article says KnC lost 30 million crowns in 2014... apparently these figures come from their annual report.

Does anyone have a link to their annual report?

I'm not an expert at swedish accounting, but I fear they subtract investment costs from the profit numbers. KnC made a lot of investments that year, so they're probably healthier than it seems in that article. They compare KnC with the maker of Minecraft, whose expenses were mostly hot pockets and fizzy drinks.
