 Grin

I got 2 out of 3 bonus Neptunes on Feb 2, 2015, Still waiting on the last bonus Neptune. They seems to be new ones.
By the way I have them for sale by individual modules/controllers or will sell as a package:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=944385.0

yeah just saw this one new in box on ebay for $700 starting bid (i am not affiliated with this)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/KnC-Neptune-3-5-TH-s-3500-GH-s-20nm-Bitcoin-Btc-Miner-Mining-ASIC-New-In-Box-/251843527304?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa30b4288

just goes to show how little worth they have arriving on the doorsteps of folks now

I had the opportunity of swapping an collectable item I have (worth 550 on ebay I paid 250 for it back in the day) for a new in the box neppie from a a buddy..when I looked
at elec and difficulty etc...was not worth even the 250 equiv I paid for my item to swap for it...hopefully he will get much more elsewhere

knc sure fell far imho from the days when they seemed?Huh? to give a sh*t fall 2013 ..paypal taken ...refunds given promptly etc they sure turned into a bunch of 'tools'
....back to the money corrupts argument I guess...

to make things worse imho (hope I am incorrect on this) is they will probably ship all the 'bonus neptunes' first before even considering shipping the 2nd batch Titans...
(got to keep them labor and mnfg costs down don't ya know)

yeah what a bunch of 'dicks'

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. I know this is currently off topic in this topic. But what is the speed of the old KNC Jupiter miners? I read rates anywhere from 450 - 800 GHs?

The very first ones October batch were 550GH, the rest november were 650GH

There is a custom firmware that allows easy overclocking, so that will be why you are seeing loads of different speeds being quoted, some got around 900GH

The November boards with updating cooling will run 250Gh/s each, so 1Th for a November 4 board, and 1.5Th max.. As it is a pretty hefty overclock the efficiency goes down but when I pushed out the firmware to do it the ROI from the overclock meant a much better return on the units...

How can you tell which month the Jupiters boards were manufactured in?

November boards have yellow VRMs on the boards, while the Octobers have silver VRMs. These are the 8 large items that surround the chip in the middle of the board.

Glad to hear that some bonus Neppys are being delivered. I'm a CA batch customer still waiting for my one (no tracking number, no communication yet).

just to give some of you with bonus miners some hope ..dump them quick on ebay or bitcointalk would be my advice...the price is gonna dump fast imho

i will punch him in the dick

I will give a bitcoin if you upload this to the internet.

perhaps some pre bitcoin payment can prompt this action,

I should start a kickstarter to punch sam in the dick

He doesn't have one because I cut it off already

I've opened a couple of boxes of bonus Neptunes. They seem brand new but the paint job is not as good as when they first came out (smudgy). Also the controller no longer comes with a display. So far I've bothered to set up one and it runs perfectly at 3.5 TH/s.

That's a shame, the display was a handy way to find the IP address and check on the hashrate.

Looks like just a character display - you'd have to check what part it is, google for that, find identical or matching ones, hit up aliexpress/ebay/digikey/mouser/them new york city weirdos, and off you go.  Unless that board it's mounted on has special magic on it - I suspect it's just a breakout board though, but pictures are lacking clarity.

Any serial LCD designed for 3-5VDC operation prolly work fine.
I have a plasma display I was going to swap out (uses same serial interface)

I discovered that the LCD fucks things up occasionally and run without for reliability.

YMMV
