Does anyone need the Titan bridge connector boards? (PCB between RPI and KnC Controller). I'm thinking of cloning the boards if KnC doesn't grant me the schematics (hell, they may even grant schematics for the actual controller boards since they dont support or manufacture the titans anymore.....haha I crack myself up).

I BADLY need the schematics for the titan cube pcbs. I have a connection that can re manufacture them in a professional pcb manufacturing facility, and they can be sold at a very low cost, and BETTER quality. Let me know.

Vegas

Well even with the schematics for the PCB, the controller has a Altera Cyclone IV on it that I could maybe reverse engineer last resort. KNC would never give up the schems of their chips, but the cube pcbs could be redone. I'll take apart a cube or two and see what I can do in the lab.

Have you tried sending the cube PCB to a chinese PCB cloning facility? I've done it a couple times for some older complicated FPGAs and they do a really good job (minus hacking the microcontrollers/firmware etc).

Thats what it is. I have connections to a few chinese fab facilities but they want the schematics. If we can make this happen, then I may create a group of investors to reman these as it can get costly.

That's a good idea. I meant the actual PCB cloning facilities. Not the fab labs. There's a couple companies that will take the PCB you send them, and literally copy it but creating gerbers for you. It's just the only thing they can't do is dump the microcontrollers, which is where we'd need to hack it beforehand.

er...i don't see any point in your working that hard on this....UNLESS that is a common point of 'failure' on the controller board?

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

So far, all three of my controller boards burnt out because of this "bridge" connector (the one with the LED labels on it). right under it, one of the paths burn out if your PSU surges. I switched from an 80 Gold PSU to an 80 Platinum PSU and it burnt it out for all my boards. When it burns out, the RPI fails to even be powered. When manually powering the RPI, the burnt bridge still won't send any data to the board. So yeah, for me it's been the main reason my miners are always so hard to move around.

I think I can clone it pretty well, so if anyone else has some burnt ones, i'll be able to provide.

I also prefer the stock coloring but what about having a drop down option like you do for the language to allow both color options, that shoul dbe pretty simple right?

For those of you that like stock colors, can you give more information why? What can be improved about the new look? What colors would look better than stock?

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Why wouldn't you provide both and put a setting on the main page?

Also, a suggestion I sent in from day one I think is still something incredibly important that hasn't been implemented, and could easily be implemented now that the backups restore the freq/voltage settings:

Create a directory on the rig's storage to save various backups... and have a UI that will allow you to restore and soft-reset to various backups called by a cron-job. During the cool evenings of the winter one could have a full-boat settings template be called that runs the rig topped out, but during the heat of the day it would recall a downclocked backup... and all settings in between. I imagine it'd be relatively easy for a user to create 12 or more settings templates that could be recalled to slowly clock up and down the rig based on a time schedule. This would be incredibly advantageous.

EDIT - I would think this would be far more important than the color scheme of the WebUI, no?

If you've got some spare time, rather than mess with the colors why not finish your long awaited video?  Smiley

ok point taken...if it is NOT too expensive...i may contribute for a 'spare' myself just in case (and to help move the project along for those w/already 'toasty' unused boards)

Hard

It is SUMMER now in 1/2 the world...and me thinks with elec costs and such a lot of 'low end miners' are being finally shut off...

On a side note...is this a good thing or a bad thing for LTC? If there are fewer miners ..no real LTC development I can point to etc..is there not the 'possiblity' of the price just tanking even thou difficulty is going down as well?

ie i make more coin..cause no one is mining...price goes down accordingly.....the ltc to btc rate gets worse...rinse/wash/repeat?

not saying I know wtf is going on with crypto..point out the error of my fears here....but moved some LTC to BTC and lightened my LTC hoard on this 'itchy' feeling between my shoulder blades. (Still holding 1675 LTC so don't get to p/o'd at me unless you are holding more)

but again no clue ...I like the almost 3/4 LTC per day increase due to this last difficulty drop on my 2 Titans..but "the ways of crypto are mysterious to me"  so yeah I'm also clueless indeed Smiley

As the price of LTC keeps going down people are mining more profitable Scrypt coins. People are also loosing faith in LTC as development has stopped like the poster above points out. Go to Litecointalk, its a ghost town. That should tell you something about the state of "the #2 altcoin".

The firmware already takes into account temperatures as you suggested, this can easily be accomplished by selecting the appropriate maximum DCDC temp. It will clock up / down based on the temp specified.
Also, from what u propose, sounds like a lot of unneeded work.
The user can already save various backup "templates" to their  PC and they can restore then reboot as they desire ... if the DCDC temp controls aint enough.

Its something Ive considered and I may still do but as per how the gui is currently changed around, it requires having 1 copy of each version(of all the website files) stored on the pi ... anytime I need to impliment a change to the webgui's its a PITA to have to go through and change each one of those sites and hope to god I didnt miss something LOL!
If theres an easy way that I come up w/ that doesnt entail so much works then Ill impliment the changing of webgui option. For now Im mostly focusing on making sure "Energy Saver" works as intended so its top on the priority list atm =)

Some interesting behaviour Ive observed over the course of countless testing of this "Energy Saver" ... is...
There are some dies which run great at 325mhz @ lower voltage then they will at 300mhz!!! For example I have 1 die that loves 325mhz @ -0.0732 @ 325mhz, but it hates anything lower than -0.0586 @ 300mhz LOL!!!!
