I believe they are 1.7TH and the people who are receiving them now paid a lot more than $5999 for the honour of being in batch 1, it was $14,000 But yes if you order one now it will be $6K and your calculations comparing them to KNC may be correct, it just depends whether KNC do their customary overdelivery of performance and which one you can get first now. Cointerra is in May.. and KnC, well we don't know yet. |

Apples and oranges. The cointerra was announced long ago, the neptune is brand new. And the cointerra is not 2GHps, but around 1.7Ghps, and the neptune is most likely not 3Ghps, but more. |

Like I said.. Cointerra would be shipping this week.
KNC, updates please.. 50+ days of competition shipping, and now thousands of 1.6TH+ units are moving out the doors stateside.

i just hope they're not into some trouble, as no continuing Jupiter sales and no upgrade module sales might indicate. Not something like their main chip designer/Bitcoin guru/experienced hardware Parts Purchaser/software developper quit, or just got so rich he/she's only turning up drunk any more at the office. I heard the Swedish like the booze. |

Of course that assumes KNC don't produce a faster rig than their original spec which they have proved more than capable of (KNC modules were specced at 100GH and ran at 140 out of the box) and they don't change their minds about speed being important. Also, the KNC horse has form. Already won a big race  |

Already won a big race Yes, ordering now at Cointerra is pretty useless - you can either use 90 days (beginning of May) or 120 (end of may) in the bitcoin calculator for even 2TH it turns out negative. But sadly even the Neptunes with 3TH and 60days turn out with quite some losses. And this even asumes the difficulty increase keeps about the same level, so the Cointerra shipments don't affect the overall difficulty increases. Even 4TH turn out negative. I don't like that. Are you like a poorly house broken pet that craps wherever it like when it has difficulty crapping in the appointed place? Jesus. Cut it out.

[Edit: To clarify, I'm talking about the discussion of some totally KNC unrelated scammers. The posts about the power usage fire are borderline and really should have been in their own thread— but at least there is an arguable connection to the high anticipated power usage of the KNC neptunes... so I'm not yelling at those posts, though I think the meter fire pictures would be interesting to a lot more people than KNC customers]

Took me a while to figure out what the hell "dummy out of the pram" meant, but that is not the case at all. I tagged 5 messages and our nice moderator Gmaxwell did a rather nice clean up of all the other garbage. And yes I agree 80% of the stuff here is worthless. |

Simple way to solve this: erase everything back to the point where Jupiters were 2nd batch shipping.
The fact is, KNC stopped updating the OP, which is where you're supposed to get information on a forum. Without it you end up with chatlogs of information. KNC failed to do their job, now moderators are trying to essentially spit-shine the Titanic while it's going down.
It would be best if the moderation stopped, and people just stopped posting in here altogether, unless they work for KNC. KNC isn't asking for the moderation

When will KNC be selling these upgrade modules? I've grown grey hairs waiting for them to give a simple answer. How hard can it be to figure out if you are going to be selling a product or not? You either have the merchandise, or you don't.
I honestly think the best thing to do is, for everyone whose interested, to email KNC in regards to the Jupiter Module sales. Show them we have a lot of interested party who still wants them. I highly doubt KNC reads this thread, or even their own for that matter.
Anyone down for the idea? If we all send them around the same day(s) (perhaps within 2-3 days), I think that would have the biggest impact.

Been said already yadda yadda yadda but selling us upgrade modules instead of full units at this point is really friggin' stupid and a waste of time. What are those of us with Jupiters supposed to do with them? Not all Jupiters even have the expansion ports installed.
They should quit screwing around and sell some more Jupiters for super cheap. They have made a lot of money off us especially those of us that returned for the Neptune preorders. Speaking of which we deserve an official update on the project status right bloody now.
