So what has to happen for mining to remain profitable in 2015 ?
I've said this several times. Mining bitcoin on the consumer level is over. Normal households cannot supply enough electricity or cooling power to any mining rigs that can break even in an normal amount of time. And I'm not speaking to those guys that re-wired their homes and added special cooling to keep mining at "home". When I see people posting their pictures of their gear more and more of it is in some commercial data center they rented or work. If you work for a company that can provide the space and free electricity then you are really lucky, but in my opinion consumer mining is over. While there will always be guys running video cards, spending more money on hardware and electricity, that doesn't count. I'm talking about current hardware/specs/profit at the given time. +1,I'm selling all my BTC mining gear & going altcoin Only 4 months or so & the home miner is done

I've been following this thread for some time now. And there isn't much talk about Titans. I'm planning to buy one, can anyone give some more insight? All I'm seeing here is that ''It might ship broken'' ''It'll die in 4 months from heat'' As far as sending them a bank transfer of $10K, I'll be risking that along with will the machine even work Someone stop me before I do it or someone give me a push to do it is what I'm looking for. With the current rate of Doge or Lite coin. Let's say I get $400 / 300/MHS that's $12K a month. I'll make it back in a month. Or am I walking into a scam right now. Because people don't usually dump out $10k without a return policy. There is a NO RETURN POLICY in there for a reason and the reason is KNC has no idea on how this "Titan" will end up.

I've been following this thread for some time now. And there isn't much talk about Titans. I'm planning to buy one, can anyone give some more insight? I think one of the hashing boards in one of my November Jupiters just failed.
Basically, whenever I connect power to this board, it seems to short out the power supply so the power supply won't turn on. I've tried two different power supplies, and the same thing happens with them both when this board is plugged in.
The unit runs fine with the other three hashing boards plugged into the power supply.
I'm going to remove the bad board and inspect it tonight, but I think it's done.
This Jupiter started acting up a week ago and would randomly stop hashing, and I suspect this was the cause.
Are you trying to use multi-rail PSUs? My guess is yes. Use a good quality, Gold or Platinum single rail PSU for all mining rigs. Seasonic, Corsair and EVGA make the best PSUs for mining in my opinion. No, I'm using a EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 PSU, which is solid. I tried two different PSUs, and neither of them will even turn on when the bad hashing board is the only thing connected to them. Also, the Jupiter runs fine when I connect the other three hashing boards to the exact same PSUs. This miner had been running fine 24-7 since early December.

Wow that sucks. Remember you are SOL if you try and RMA it. knfail decided to alter the T&C to now state only a 3 month warranty on any of their products, unless you have a copy that you printed out with your order.

I also hope they don't switch Plan B off for a week after they ship your Neppy, as it takes about a week to receive a unit what with shipping time plus customs delays.
I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but I thought Sam said it's either or, Plan B or wait, did he change it?

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but I thought Sam said it's either or, Plan B or wait, did he change it? From https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-75Plan B
As you are all aware we broke many world records in releasing the 28nm chip in such a short amount of time. We are a very ambitious company but even for us, to go “all in” and not be able to deliver on our performance targets, like our competition, would be completely unacceptable to us as a company and everything we stand for. So today we are introducing, Plan B. To make sure that everyone who has paid for their Neptune gets their hashing power we are building a data centre like no other. It is located in the north of Sweden not far from Facebook and other Mega Data Centres and it’s totally powered by renewable energy. Over the next few months we are bringing online enough hashing power to make sure that any delay in the Neptune timeline will be compensated with a completely free hosted hashing packages to all fully paid customers. In the addition to this commitment, as part of Plan B, for all Neptune customers, we will be offering a free conversion to a hosted hashing package where we will simply fill your wallets directly and you won’t have to worry about anything else. All the other costs taken care of by us. We are able to do this by using our 28nm chips which is why all products that we have coming out of our factory in the next few months will go into building and supplying the Plan B facility. If, during the course of development of Neptune, there is any threat to the timelines for delivery, those delays will not result in the loss of any mining time for our Neptune customers. We will release more details of this as we get closer to the delivery date, but for now we have one of the world’s largest data centres to build.
I read " any delay in the Neptune timeline will be compensated with a completely free hosted hashing packages to all fully paid customers" as meaning that Plan B will kick in at the point when your Neptune should have shipped and will continue until it is shipped. Then separately, if you want to convert your Neptune to a hosted plan, you can. I think it would be good if KnCMiner could clarify these questions and release more details of how Plan B will work. June is not far away!

June is not far away! Its almost implying they may or may not have any Neptunes ready by end of Q2. But we made alot of money mining with your pre-order money from November, let us take some of the profit and develop the Neptune at our own pace. In any case they will let you use the hashrate from their super Jupiter farm. wth

Anyone else besides me using Anotherhost notice their miners are suddenly down?
They were down for about 4 hours - I assume you received their during/post outage emails. Yeah. I was in the middle of upgrading firmware to over clock and I thought I had set the whole place on fire. Haha

So, start mining next month, and hash rate is 1.5 times V.S super junk = 5tg/s, and estimate difficulty = 130% from now, Nips still get 0.183 BTC per day~ cheers! add AUG free 1, so 0.183 BTC per day till September~
