It seems that you don't want to share how many Neptunes you have on pre-order. Or you are just a shill talking out of his ass without a Neptune ordered? |

So you either don't have a Neptune pre-order or you are a KnC employee. Ok we got that covered. Now explain me the fair play in KnC's statement of NOT mining with more than 5% of their sold hashrate. Where is the fair play when they are mining with 10% of the TOTAL hashrate? I hope I convinced a lot of Neptune customers to cancel their order because I DO believe in fair play and I want the best as a miner. Please explain me why would a Neptune customer keep his pre-order when he could get more than 4x the hashrate for the same money? 10k$=1x 3TH/s Neptune vs 2x 6TH SP30 (delivered just one and a half month later if they deliver this month) Ex-squeeze me if I prefer to get 12 TH/s in August for 10k$ than to get 3Th/s at the start of July. |

I'm just a happy customer who wants them to succeed. I was a KnC happy customer last autumn until they ditched the customers who funded all of their operations. If KnC doesn't ship a 5+Th/s Neptune then it's game over for their customers. 3Th/s for 10k+$ is just shit right now and you are better of with a refund. You could get 3Th/s shipped from stock until last week for only $5,600+shipping. No reason to pay 10k$ for 3Th/s with unknown delivery. Remember that you are the only "customer" that is pro-KnC. Nobody else that is active here is satisfied with KnC. |

And when there's a conflict between the perfect happiness of your customers and lining up your pockets we know how greed plays. I'd prefer a company not competing with me and lining up their pockets by making be happy as far as possible. KnCMiner is this no more. Lets assume the Neptune can come in Jul 1, and mine 5 BTC in its life time and the FREE Neptune Sept 1 which would mine 1.5 BTC lifetime.
Id take the refund money and buy some TH riight now is better, even 5 SP10.
5 SP10 right now going to a datacenter for 6 mo are ~20K with equipment 13.5K (who wants to have 5 of these in the house? not me). After 6mo you will make $21.3K or 1.5K profit by Nov 1 if bitcoin stays the same ($668). KnC: 4.5 TH on July 1 will give you ~11.66 BTC by Nov 1 extra 4.5 TH on Aug 1 will give you ~7 BTC by Nov 1 Total ~18.66 BTC, but with ~$1089 cost of electricity (if 0.12kwh)=$12485-1089=11396, so you still have profit of $1396 if you bought for 10k, not 13.5K. So, conclusion: if KnC machine is 4.5TH by July and a second equal machine is given free on Aug 1, then you have a small profit in both cases and SAME BTC price. Small edge to Spond because you don't need to do almost any work as they go to a datacenter, but 4.5TH KnC machines will probably have better resell value (if they are similar to Jupiters in average quality). I call it a tie or very close. |

For 2 fuckn weeks, I have been trying to get a beaglebone RMA and for 2 fkn weeks, Ive been given the run around. So, I will not send any broken boards back and Ive given up on getting RMA for this beaglebone. DO you want emails, oh thats right, I have already posted them, go back and fkn read loser. BFL, I ordered very early, got my order very early, made lots of money...lots....bfl is a piece of shit company and I feel deeply sorry for anyone who ordered late. btw...ALL, Thats right, All my bfl STILL runs You went the extra mile to make some of what you have "Work" too... What's the big deal ? You could get 3TH of in-stock S2 with free shipping last week for $4950 and you wouldn't need hearing protectors or asbestos gloves. If you're not too worried about power, 15 S1 OC'd to 393.75 will get you 3TH at a LOT less. I'm amused by the way SP talk about spreading the hash then build equipment that you wouldn't want in your home or small office. The big deal is that the Neptune isn't worth the money right now. 3TH for 10k+$ is simply not worth it. SP10 is for a DC or for the garage/basement.
Currently , S2 is much more expensive and with much higher consumption.
SP10 is ~ .89kw/th, SP2 is ~ 1kw/th . I wouldn't call that much higher consumption. How much extra do you pay to host a SP10 in a datacenter ? Re price: ask and ye shall be surprised … SP10 can do 0.7kw/th. SP2 can't do that. |

Really, they do? They have shipped a SINGLE product that was over-spec and nearly on-time! And one could argue that KNC deliberately screwed batch one customers by removing 4 VRMs from the October ASIC boards thereby crippling the first batch machines and handicapping the early adopters.
Indeed, the Jupiters were over-spec. But how they screwed customers after that is far more illuminating and sheds more light on what kind of company they really are. Datorhall, FrankenJups, no refund policy on Titan, lack of communication, broken promises, shitty RMA practices, super-slow refunds... I could go on and on. If some people see them as having some kind of glowing reputation after such a shitstorm, I can only assume that they are in total denial or completely delusional.
And on another topic... why such angst about referral links?! No one gets screwed or scammed by clicking a referral link. The affiliate only gets credit if the person who clicks the link actually buys something. And they are charged the same price as everyone (if not less, because of a special promotion). No one is harmed and a member of our hard working community gets rewarded for their efforts.
Sure, spammy posts are annoying. I know firsthand because I got scolded pretty bad by several members of the community for my overzealous efforts in the recent past. But if a post is on-topic and helpful, there is no reason not to include a discrete referral link.
