Doesn't say if they are used or not. Which could mean they are stripping out the Jupiter boards and filling up their Boden datorhall with Neptune boards. Which might explain why they didn't have any spare chips during July.

Could they be removing the DC/DC's from the Jupiter boards to put on the next batch of customer Neptune boards?

(And don't forget the flat earth is held up by four elephants)

Or the neptune chip is pin compatible.

The chips are almost worthless because they won't return much back. So they rather sell for anything they can get rather than scrap them for almost nothing.

I'd guess they are used maybe? or at best they just plain have 'extras' they need to move

who knows

the ways of KNC are mysterious to me...

Actually, KNC is the one who most trustable on the market, that is why I give my money them, even late but still better than nothing.

You forgot to mention that earth is flat.
That way you can flush money from your toilet straight to their Swedish bums.

Has anyone received a Neptune refund lately.  If so, how long did it take?   I keep getting the runaround.
Over 80 days and counting...

Hi Mike,

BTC refunds will not be sent instantly, there are procedures that we must follow before we issue refunds.
Unfortunately we cannot give you a specific date of when your refund will be processed, however, we can assure you that we will process all refunds requested according to the date and time the request was made and issue the refund as soon as physically possible.

200 chips = 5400 US$, it's 27 US$ per chip, or 108 US$ per four chips in one Jupiter. "We sell these chips in sets of 200, for a considerably lower sum than we paid for them ourselves". Don't know how they define "considerably less", but it may be something like they've paid 110-150 US$ for four chips per Jupiter. Remind me again what were those Jupiters priced?

I am interested to buy one for me as miners geek souvenir. Anyone knows something about a groupbuy?

Is the Vaultbreaker based on Ensillica chips? Flower Tech delayed shipment until Feb 2015, if Vaultbreaker is based on Ensillica are they also going to be delaying shipment?
If the Vault isn't based on Ensillica chips where did GAW get the chips?

Sorry I just don't have hours to search and try to find the answers, thought maybe somebody here could help out. Thanks

GAW did confirm that they will be providing hosted hashrate for Vaultbreaker buyers by end of August and that Q3/Q4 is still the target for shipping. I don't think they ever explicitly confirmed that they are using Ensilica except some indirect hints.

well seems if the above is correct.....Vaultbreaker WILL beat KNC to market....Aug 25th they will start hosting those ordered until machines shipped it seems

note the links above they are pretty clear they want to beat the Titan's to market by a month if possible

I'd prefer to have TWO firms fight it out under the queens berry rules like gentleman for the betterment of the customers.....but KNC has said
nothing and basically seems to have rolled over...wish they would step it up for KNC Titan folks ..but it is getting less likely the more silent they
are....again .....I hope I am incorrect....but there prices on their current products imho have been too high for months..and quite frankly
the deafening silence gets to me

of course it could be worse BFL claims they are gonna ship monarch 700gh by the end of the month

heh.....unless they are cloud miining by the GH for you already or hosting.....

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_josh/403-monarch-begin-shipping.html

only $1.97 per gh lol

so it goes it could be worse I guess

Whatever they were priced, it cost KNC $1,000USD to make each one with 4 boards.

So many folks worry about mining. I hopped out of worrying about getting BTC mining equipment last year, based on my projections. So far they've payed out nicely, the equipment I had ROI'd and returned me some good coin. I've then since just bought it cheap, and Scrypt-mined myself a year's worth of bill money.

Seriously folks, just buy bitcoin. It's better than buying equipment and mining at this point. Actually, it has been since.. January.

Just got a mail inform Tity status update, knc mentioned they are now waiting chips arrive, so which means at least another month to go, and plus shipping batch 1 Tity owner may hashing on October, this is the most idea predict, any who got other idea?

yeah this is most likely...they will slip a few units out before sept 31st to 'beat the deadline' and we will get our units in Oct more/less depending on your order number

wonder what alts will be at then? litecoin 2c? (my timing is as usual perfect on purchases...but 180 degrees in the wrong direction..its a gift!)

well I did get a BFL refund and an Alpha refund....unheard of in both cases...you can only be so dumb and lucky..so I'm back to dumb ...lucky has left the building.

oh look, more self-sighgrandizing lies...

plenty of us got refunds in january after they changed the terms for the first time...

do yourself and the rest of us a favour and please stfu

What makes you think the AX1200i comes with 16AWG cables? I've never seen one with anything other than "type3" 18AWG cables. I've seen quite a few of them as well.

I've also had them melt/smoke/burn spectacularly: http://imgur.com/a/UUpEG

I don't "think" they come with 16AWG; they do.

Again with the scrolling up guys...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg7508465#msg7508465

I will confirm this for those not in possession of a 1200i or who failed to examine them carefully.  Smiley

Yeah, whatever - the standard 6 pin cables are 18AWG and I just found another of these with blackened, melted ends this time on an antminer S3. I wouldn't have noticed either, but I've taken to doing regular checks based on prior experience with this junk. I'll note too that the connector on the antminer and (for once) the connector on the PSU appear fine. Wire gauge isn't the whole story as I'm sure many here know, and it seems that these cables aren't holding up well after repeated use.

I found the oddball double-ended cables a bit on the ridiculous side, unwieldy and a real PITA to work with with the connector hanging off. Really, it seems a cheap move to not just include 2 x decent power cables with a premium power supply it's not like you can say there aren't enough power connections to go around on the PSU. I had a high opinion of the whole AXi series, but after multiple burned out leads on both an AX850 and several AX1200i, I'll be looking elsewhere. Seasonic?

In the meantime I need more cables. You still making them Cablez? I'll shoot you a PM

Edit: total necropost, I know

In case you missed this sentence 3 days ago as I did.

(KnCMiner, 8/14/2014 1:44:00 PM)
During the weeks since our customers started up their Neptune rigs we’ve gotten lots of positive feedback and glowing reviews.

(NetworkGuru, Today, 12:04 PM)
Sorry, i just had to laugh my ass off....reading this forum about all the problems with the cables, very late shipments and refuses to refund or not even refund people after months.

The devices are so awesome that people directly sell them after they were finally delivered. Good Job!

Maybe in Sweden things are turned around and a glowing review means:
"After plugging in my Neptunes, cables immediately started glowing".
or was it a glowing review because of all the anger in it ?

What is a positive one ? Something like
"The devices are so awesome that people directly sell them after they were finally delivered. Good Job! "

Huh who knows.

It is so disgusting how this bunch of criminal scum is continuously trying to suck in more money with their subliminal lies from newbies.
I hope Scam Hole and his crew all end up in jail very soon, seriously, before they cause more financial damage to individuals all around the globe - by intent.  Angry

There cannot be any positive reviews of miners that arrived some 2 months late. But they say "During the weeks since our customers started up their Neptune" so I presume it was carefully drafted. KnC has become a rogue, predatory scamm-like sucker. I am sure they are in troubles.

Folks, I hate to have to clue you in to reality but the modern concept of 'business' is predatory in nature. Its not just mining. Look at the supply chain from the 3rd world to the 1st world in any area of commerce you care to name and you will find enough crap to rip your heart out if you have one left.

How many times do you see people here include in their ROI calculations on new equipment its used resale value, hoping to get more than it is really worth from the greater noob fool ?

Please spare me the anguish about KNC. I know its fashionable and politically correct these days but please … mind your own affairs and try to do a little good often.

There cannot be any positive reviews of miners that arrived some 2 months late. But they say "During the weeks since our customers started up their Neptune" so I presume it was carefully drafted. KnC has become a rogue, predatory scamm-like sucker. I am sure they are in troubles.

Their announced shipping date was up through 7/31/2014. When did they ship 2 months late?
