I have one Titan-cube connected

How many PCIe power connectors are provided on each cube?

They were designed with one connector.

any body got a pic for said connector..i got a cablez y plug ..have not had a reply from him..i'm hoping it is the same y plug for the titan

but no frigging idea

I assume they are NOT shipping with the y plug

I'd just get a couple 850w power supplies from newegg and send them back in 30 days to be save

IF I COULD FIGURE OUT THE PLUG AT THE TITAN END

help would be appreciated for those getting a Titan...hate to be sitting around looking at the beastie going WTF when it arrives prob next week beg of

the setup/fix guide looks like  knc protecting itself from another frankenjupiter fiasco.....or should I say Titanic fiasco

what a farce

anyway those with titans a pic would be very much appreciated of the power connector on the Titan as well as what power supplies? you used

thanks

Now that some of us have learnt a very expensive lesson. How do the Titan owners plan to come close to at least breaking even. Please share your strategies ?

I gave up on ROI my only hope is to start a 51% GANG against new sh*ty alt coins..get a cape...super hero outfit....we can call ourselves asic avengers

no hope for ROI it is an expensive toy..if I get 1/2 my money back I will be shocked

Cool idea! Take down those pump-and-dump scam-coins before the author can rip off too many people. Pump up the difficulty then drop 'em like a stone. Then they'll never solve a block and the coin will be dead.

Makes me wish I had a Titan so I could join your crew. Cape, undies on the outside, and an Asic Avengers logo on the chest.

was someone else's Idea ..but can't seem to find the guy (must be allergic to spandex)

on the other hand in the Titan world on the KNC forum a guy trying to get the Titan to work has to use 1 1200w each cube...all the OCP new power supplies are
having fits I guess

not sure if he is using Y cables....of which you need a min of 4 of them (cablez where are you I'm 1 cable short) of course I have a 1200i corsair so prob screwed
even with y cables

on a side note KNC support is not answering any of these questions on every 8 min reboots due to power surge on the Titans nor the y cables nor anything...to
do so would be to admit they shot the thing out the door incomplete with buggy firmware..thus they would miss deadline thus all them pesky customer demands
for refunds

but yeah all this fun for a Titan that as far as I can tell for a lot of folk reboots 4  to 6 x an hour 24/7

well BFL is dead I guess KNC is rushing to take their place

what a clusterf*ck

good thing NO ROI is possible or I'd be peeved....now looking like I will only get 1/4 of what I paid back (silly me being optimistic thinking I maybe just maybe could
make enough coin to get 1/2 back..and not counting elec at that)

main thing is we have made KNC very sucessful and wealthy and well positioned to arctic cloud mine in the future (if they allowed me to convert what I paid for
the titan to their actic cloud service...i'd be hashing NOW at 16.4TH

but no customers for equip anymore screw us

ah well .....time to deisgn my asic avenger suit my only hope now is hobby mode

I ordered a Titan on day one...about 8 hours after the press release dropped.  Order number 1990X (X to provide anonymity).  For those who have received their titan orders....what was your order number?

It seems as if KnC built the miners sold to customers promised Q2/Q3 (which actually means Q3) delivery, then delivered within the last few days of Q3 to meet their previous pre-sales promise, but they are dragging their feet!!!  They must be mining Scrypt, something fierce.  Seriously, when is my Titan going to be shipped?

They are in the 196xx range at the moment.

I know this for a fact.

I got 1956x and still says "paid". No miner yet.

Relax buddy. I'm sure it's just a standard PCI-e power connector that every PSU and miner has. Why would it be anything else?

got them y splitters..so no big deal ....lack of info by KNC is somewhat dismaying in that they still have not recomended brands to use to get around this OCP
issue...I gather the y cables they are sending does....but anyway

Kurt from KNC says there are no issues with the Y connectors and the OCP probs on the corsair 1200i so that is good

again still unclear if the y connectors are being sent now with Titan orders or later...i'm at the front of the curve so worse case I'll prob use these which
are likely longer anyway

so it goes

looks like I WON'T have to get a set of TWO 850w power supplies as KNC recomends still on their tech page

confusion in KNC land reigns...just hope the firmware likley being less then 1 week old hangs together

Hi everyone,

I've been lying low for while plus been busy with normal work etc, etc.
I see that nothing has changed here and KNC seem to be getting worse with their customer relations.  Oh well what else is new...

Why I'm here is because I did receive tacking number for my Titan and UPS have called me to pay for customs, taxes and fees which amounts to a wopping $1320

Now what I'm thinking is if I ask KNC to re-invoice me for the Titan to a lower amount so I can reduce the Tax that I have to pay.

What do you guys think?  You think KNC would comply and help me out?

I think this would be fair especially because the value of a 400MH/s Titan is now $6995 which works out to appoximately $17.49 per MH/s
So for a 300MH/s Titan 300 x 17.49 = $5247 which would reduce the Customs tax bill by a few hundred dollars

Am I making sense, you think KNC would do this?

Cheers

Damn, I'm sorry to see you guys got KnC'ed again. Sad, but the last 1000 pages are hope, hope, hope, aw shit I just got KnC'ed again. Maybe OldBones has some colleagues that could take your cases?

How many of those 1000's of posts were warning people what knc are like and to avoid them? A lot.

Anyway, knc takes the cash from the little guys and get away with it.

They never took any money from investors for the first year, because they knew it was easy money to make and they didn't want to share.

The days of screwing the little guy are over and now the only reason they have taken venture capital is because they think they can screw the venture capital guys.

That might not be such a good idea. So here's hoping knc are trying to fuck these guys and these guys nail them to the wall - hopefully b4 Christmas Grin

I can't even get them to give an estimate of the date they will refund my canceled Neptune order.  I would think you'd have better luck contesting the declared value with your customs broker and your government.

Deceptive advertising practices (Q2/Q3, well within Q3, etc) shoddy goods (fire hazard, hashing problems), late delivery (almost Q4 now and many haven't received their Titans), abusive customer relations (Neptune refunds, Super Jups, etc)

How come none of the mainstream crypto mags aren't writing this stuff up ? I guess thay don't want to bite the hand that feeds them ...

KNC won't help you out because they are kunts. However, they have lied before about the declared value of their rigs (OldBones might be interested here):

That would be illegal of them to do, but if they do please send me a copy of the invoice  Grin
(I would love to use this against KnC Group AB in court)

other companies I've bought from have lowered the value, Spondoolies did, pcfli with the Dragon miners did

gee I'm not asking to put a ridiculously low value, just a realistic value.
to put this another way, what would a 300MH/s Titan be worth now.  How much do you think you'd get on eBay for one?

Anyway I'm going to send KNC an email and see what they reply if they reply at all.

Thanks guys for the replies

yeah my view is he quit after they screwed us with the mining farm after telling us we could get jan 2014 jupiters and probably
had to sign a NDA......

possible I guess..the timing works

First generation of anything (cars, technology, etc) always has bugs. Hopefully they can resolve some issues with firmware, and through batch 2. Batch 2 orders are still open apparently.

Still, sucks that the folks who paid for the gear had to wait to the very end of the deadline, it's a shame. But, it's a hobby afterall.

I think orama had honest and good intentions. He took the boot and he did sign a NDA on everything, which should be enough to tell you the truth. He was suckered in and saw the truth.

I wonder whether batch2 will begin shipping a month after the first units ship from batch1 or a month after the last unit from batch1 ships.

It should be the latter, but given that KNC want to kick us all to the kerb and get back to what they do best, namely, mining with the hardware they manufacture, I'm guessing it will be the former.

Knc have stated on their forum that batch 2 Titans starts shipping 1 month after batch 1 is finished shipping.
