Just trying to get started and my Litecoin rate is about 3KH/s lol.

I think the problem is that it is only using my CPU and not my GPU.

I have a HD6450, don't laugh, running on winXP 32.

When I start guiminer it says no open cl devices found and just minimizes to the tray, can't get to any settings.

When I use Litecoin and go to the mining tab I can get that to run at  at 3KH/s to 7KH/s but I don't think it is using my GPU at all.

I've installed the SDK App Rev 13.1. Do I need a previous version?

What am I missing?

Your drivers are damaged and your GPU is not properly installed, Be sure to uninstall your old drivers FULLY before upgrading, Use something like the AMDcleanup utility (dont know if it works on XP)
I also reccomend using CGMiner
There is no such thing as SDK app rev 13.1
The current official Catalyst Engine Control drivers package is 13.1
The most recent AMD APP SDK is v2.8

It can't be that cause I don't want that to be the problem!

I'm so tired of windows, but haven't used linux(actually hp-ux) in almost 20 yrs. Not sure I remember how.
Any suggestion which linux version to install? I need to use this is as my everyday computer also. I'm not going to win7 or 8.

I even tried 50Miner and I get the error no open CL drivers. I un-installed all AMD stuff and re-installed and still having the same problems. I might even try using the Diamond drivers just to try it.

Why in the world would you Not use windows7, I have yet to have a problem with it!
The only issue i EVER have is the annoyance of the new CTRL ALT DEL system, But that barely even phased me, cause i use crtl+shift+esc

Are you gonna say "it eats ram"? My friend runs it on his CrapTop that has 32mb Vram and 512mb DDR ram on an pentium three!!,
How much ram is win 7 using for him? 217mb
I have 4gb, and it eats 1.4gb because i let it do so, Because its faster to read things out of the ram than it is to read it off the HDD.
Win 7 runs nice and fast, Doesnt have all that FUCKING bloat that VistAIDS had

Well, I'm just tired of Windows. Once I get familiar with linux again I'll never spend another penny on an operating system. Probably won't work out though, I'd probably be switching back and forth between the 2 and end up going to win7 anyway. Twice the headaches lol.

I just created a thumb drive Ubuntu bootable, gonna at least give it a try.
