I have a weird situation. I have a rig with four 1060's and two 1070's. When using 0.3.4b (are there two of these? The OP is confusing) I'm getting over 400 Sols on the one 1070, but the other 1070 starts at the same speed but quickly degrades to less than 200 Sols. The 1060's are running about 250 Sols each. I have the cards running at 65% power in MSI Afterburner to save electricity, so that's why they are running a bit slower than normal, but that doesn't explain the difference between the 1070 cards. They are identical models, and I've been using this same rig and setup to mine ETH/DCR with Claymore's miner for over a month, and the 1070 cards run equivalently there. Any ideas?

If you go back to mining ETH/DCR.. every card works fine?

Anyone had an issue where when you close the miner system would lag for few seconds and the miner would shut down, but when you start it again or any application that requires GPU windows notifies me that "Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware" ?

I presume it has to do something with the drivers or what? Its the newest ones but all other versions behave the same..  Roll Eyes

Any fixes for this issue? ..since I am using this machine as my daily driver and I would like to be able to quit mining when I need the machine and continue when I dont without restarting, since restart fixes it until I quit the miner again.. very annoying..  Thanks Smiley

Turns out that suggested fix to reset clocks to default does not help fix my issue... any other ideas please?

Thanks!

Why is the miner CPU usage on one rig 13%, and on the others 7%?
That 13% is 3GB 1060s, other ones are 6GB. Also tried reinstalling OS. It means to me, because I mine with my CPU also and I get lower hash on that 3GB rig.

I think there is more to be optimized for 1080 TI, maybe a 100h\s extra ? Smiley)

Thanks for the replies to my questions regarding mining Zcash, in place of ETH.

I watched snippets of a couple of video tutorials, and they refer to needing to run some base program on your computer, but that it runs in Linux, and not on windows. I have no experience with Linux.

Is there more here than meets the novice eye?

On my Win7 mining rigs now all that I have running is Claymore 9.7 and MSI Afterburner... there's no base ETH framework or program. On a couple of computers separate from those rigs, I do have a MIST wallet.

What wallet is considered comparable w/Zcash?

THANKS

Does anyone happen to have one of the new Titan Xp cards with the newest drivers? I read the new driver update massively increased performance in professional applications "Our latest driver — available today — delivers 3x more performance in applications like Maya to help you create and design faster than ever.".

I'm wondering if mining performance was increased also?

Hey @EWBF_, new CUDA 9 is here!

https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit/whatsnew

Will you test it to see if it offers any performance boost?  Grin

I AM ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE WEB API INTERFACE FOR EWBF'S MINER--

What you want is an app that would display all your different miner API outputs in a neat array.  Currently, you could dedicate one browser instance to do this.  Each miner's output would be in a separate tab.

Is anyone else on Nanopool having problems with their share balance updating? Miner is still up and running but shares updating.

NANOPOOL SHARES ARE SLOW TO SHOW--

The pool may take several hours to show your shares and hash rates correctly.  This is especially true with algos and coins that mature slowly.

I have never been cheated by NanoPool.  The code that they use to calculate shares and hash rates takes a while to display the correct results, but all of your shars are counted and paid.       --scryptr

I'm running 2x 1060 directly on the motherboard (no risers).
I have set to synchronize cards in msi afterburner, OC'd core clock for +110 for both cards.
Then why they don't run on same core clock??

Your first card is thermal throttling.  You have the temp set to 67 and the temp of the card in the screenshot is 66.

GPUz is also telling you that the perfcap reason is thermal.

Also keep in mind that each GPU chip is slightly different, and just because you sync the cards together does not mean that they will always run at the same clock rate.  Each card still controls its own settings and clock rates when running.

Hi guys,
is ping important in mining?
the latency that EWBF gives me is 250- 260ms .
does it affect the payment?
how many accepted shares should i have (in a minute or hour...) for 3-4k sols ??

Ping could impact how many rejected shares that you get but 250-260ms isnt too bad, the longer it takes your miners to get an update in the event of new work the more likely they are to be working on the old work.

I live in Australia and unfortunately there aren't any large pool nodes so I have to connect to pools in China or Asia so my normal ping is around 300 - 600ms.  But in general I don't see a large number of rejected shares.  It might be a tiny bit more than someone that was working closer to the node but I don't feel that it has a significant impact.

Also the number of shares is hard to quantify as the share difficulty of your pool could be variable and it will also be different from from pool to pool.  It will also be different from coin to coin.  If you let us know what pool you are mining with someone else will most likely be using it as well and may be able to give you an idea their share count.

Strange things when restarting miner. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction..

I have 5 1080's of different makes/models. After some quick tweaking with afterburner I get an extra ~20sols (Yeah, I suck.. lol) per card. When I restart miner my sols go back to the original values. I look at afterburner and all the settings are still the same. I have to revert my changes and apply them again before I I get the extra sols.

Why is the performance increase not surviving the restart of EWBF?

Command being used:
miner.exe  --user xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.rig2 --log 2 --eexit 1 --server us1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --pass x --api 0.0.0.0:4028
