Hey EWBF, do you have some example of how using the API (i read up the help), like a curl cmdline or nc command line ? I tried several way to make the json request, but the API always reply to me either cannot parse request or doesn't answer anything. Thanks.

With the 1070 solver 0 is ok but
with the other cards I would try different solvers.

Could you please clarify what hashrate do you get out of 980 ti, and what's the power consumption?

Could you please clarify what hash rate do you get out of 980 ti, and what's the power consumption?

stock 430 sol/s  it was 400 sol/s  and it take around 200w from wall  its 3 to 4 %
if you play whit a afterburner i got 460 to 470 but problems are whit stability

Too old drivers maybe ? what's your current version ? also is the miner started as admin ?

Thanks. I was curious whether it makes any sense to buy 980 ti instead of 1070 for mining. I don't quite get the current pricing. New 1070s regularly show up on ebay for $360-380. And used 980 ti sell for almost the same price, maybe a bit less. Checking the finished auctions, sometimes they (980 ti used) sell for under $300, but most of them end up within $300-350 range. I understand that you probably had your 980 ti for quite some time, so it makes sense to use what you already have. I'm just looking from the perspective of a new user buying a graphics card today. 980 ti seems to be a tiny bit slower in games (a lot slower in VR?), has less VRAM, a bit slower in zec mining, and power consumption is a lot higher (plus 2*8 pin makes it really inconvenient to connect 6 gpus in one rig, while many 1070s have only 1*8pin). Yet I just saw a used 980 ti sell for ~ $360 on ebay. Who are those people buying them? Are there any mining applications where 980 ti is faster than 1070?

I think really this has to be a user preference.  When I started mining a little over a month ago and before I knew anything about what I wanted to spend money on, I did my homework.  I found as many altcoin gpu comparison guides I could get my hands on and looked through tons of threads on here and other sites.  When I decided to get my first rig I settled on 6 gtx 1060 3gb cards.  It has been stated that getting the 1070 would have been a better profit generator for me but I was not comfortable spending almost 400 a piece for 6 cards.  New users being able to see actual card hash rates from other users is essential for them, that is why I created a thread to start collecting this data (unfortunately it is ignored) and this is why we continuously get the same threads over and over again and people making the same mistakes over and over again.  I was comfortable getting 6 cards at just under 200 a piece, so my 6 card rig cost me about 1650 and gets me 1750 SOL/s on ZCASH.  The user really needs to do research and have a set price range in mind they are comfortable with

As you can see It not detect any gpus, so i think it probably driver problem. And this string "ERROR: Cannot initialize NVML. Temperature monitor will not work!" means that you do not have installed nvml library, this library is part of the NVidia drivers.

Hey all, no issues here, really enjoy this miner. I have two GTX 980s running at pretty much stock settings and I get 630 Sol/s with both of them combined, just wondering if I can pump any more out of them with different drivers (I'm running the latest) or an overclock.

What is the wattage used? It would be helpful if people posting hashrate with watt. I think hashrate without wattage is useless.

Yes but among the hash/watt ratio the 1070 is better. So if you have high electricity costs the 1070 will always be a better choice. Also the density counts. For me the ROI is about the same for them, but 1070 holds value very well, and the 3gb card probably will not. So i decided for the 1070.

1070 does about 420 at 100w, or 465 at max.
