Moonstone DAC Crowdsale

What is the Moonstone DAC crowdsale?
The crowdsale is an event in Moonstone where 95M of the 100M genesis tokens will be distributed to the public and raising funds to further develop and promote Moonstone. It is also the the fairest way to distribute the 95XMS since you get a proportional amount by how much you spend. And the earlier you are, there is a bonus.

When will the crowdsale be?
It will happen during bitcoin's block height 444,000 until 447,000. So it will last for 3,000 blocks which is about 20 to 21 days.

How do I join?
Just send bitcoin to this address:
16WR9gWQeT3YZaLtPPjxqfpCYd6UXT7Gwt
any amount 0.01 btc or higher.

As long as you can prove you made your tranaction through a signed message, you can claim your XMS tokens later. Make sure you use a wallet that has a "sign message" feature.

What is the advantage of sending early?
There is a 30% bonus starting at block 444,000 which decreases by 0.01% each block. This means if you sent 1 btc at block 444,000, it will be treated as if you sent 1.3 btc. If you sent 1 btc at block 444,001, it will be treated ast if you sent 1.2999. At block 447,000, the bonus is zero percent.

What if I sent earlier than block 444,000?
It will still be included but I will be counted as if it was sent at block 444,000 (30% bonus).

What if I sent later than block 447,000?
It will be refunded to you.

Can I send multiple times?
Yes, you can send as many times as you want as long as it is 0.01 btc or more.

Can I send even if I have no account yet?
Yes, you will have the whole of 2017 to create your account and claim your XMS coins.

Is the transaction in escrow?
No. The point of an escrow is only to release the bitcoins once the main network is live to protect the investors from scam. Moonstone DAC has already a live main network.

How much XMS will I get if I sent X amount of bitcoins?
It will only be known at the end of the crowdsale. All the sales (the btc sent + bonus) will be summed up and your share of it will also be your proportional share of the 95M XMS. Everyday during the duration of the crowdsale, updates will be regularly posted as to how much XMS coins each transaction will get.

Why is there a minimum of 0.01 btc each transaction?
This is to prevent spam and minimize the overhead of individually sending the XMS later. All transactions below 0.01 btc will be considered as donation.

After I send, what do i need to do?
There will be a separate post and a separate forum and instruction for that. That will basically require you to sign a message that it was you that made the transaction and you will also indicate to which Moonstone account will your XMS be sent.

When do we get our XMS coins?
Right after block 447,000, XMS coins will be distributed to those who will start claiming it.

*******************************************************************

I need volunteers to bootstrap the Moonstone DAC main network.

It is based on Bitshares.

If you are willing to run an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x64 VPS, you will get 2K XMS Core tokens which is more than enough to upgrade yourself as a lifetime member and create your own witness and vote yourself to become an active witness.

Here is the sequence of what to do:
1. https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/wiki/How-to-build-from-source
2. https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/wiki/How-to-run-your-node
3. https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/wiki/How-to-create-your-wallet-file

At this point, PM me your public key and I will register your account based on your bitcointalk username and wait for my reply

4. https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/wiki/How-to-import-your-key
5. https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/wiki/How-to-become-a-witness

At this point, just wait for the next maintenance period (every 4 hours) to start forging blocks. You can also ask for others to vote for your witness and you can also vote for other witnesses.

The genesis account I control contains 100M XMS Core tokens. I will distribute 1M (2K x 500 people) to bootstrap the main net.
The 95M will be put on an ICO later.

The initial settings will create a block every 3 seconds. The award will be 1 XMS each block.
Since this is a DAC, later, everyone can change most of the settings (block times, block reward, block size, etc) through a democratic vote.

Right now, it is mostly compatible with bitshares. But later there will be changes in the market pegged assets. And depending on the ICO, it will integrate the ethereum virtual machine by mid next year.

**edit**
I will only entertain requests from jr members or above.

Shortcut:
You can download binaries from the release:
https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/releases
and unzip it and chmod +x those two binaries

You can also create an account using the web wallet:
http://node.moonstonedac.com:8080

Go to settings --> accounts --> view keys to get the private key of your new account

Are the system/network requirements any higher than running a usual POS wallet? I could run this on my home server but it's not a 64bit VPS.

I think it will do for now. Hopefully you can run it 24/7. Also sent you a slack invite.
