Why  you think it's convenient buy altcoins with your btc  ?!?

I personally do not recommend holding bitcoins for long time, for short time holding right not Monero looks like good option, I've also got few btc invested in it.

Why not hold bitcoin for long term?

A little correction there, my auto-correct changed altcoins to bitcoin really stupid of me now to check it after posting,  I meant to say not to hold altcoins for long. I'm all for holding bitcoin for long term, its actually the best choice right now.

Why short term Monero is good, just went up 3x (from 300k satoshi to 1 million satoshi)?

That's the exact reason why to keep monero for just short time, it just went 3x right?, now you sell it and make a 3x profit but if you had hold it for long term and say in few months, like all altcoins nowadays, it crashed you would had been at a loss. Yes you would say what if it has been 10x in few months, but that's a gamble i woudn't risk to take

No worries, I think what you are saying though is that bitcoin is best investment, altcoins you can take a bet on short term, but avoid Monero as it just went up vs Bitcoin so the short term gain is already played out and like all alts it will more likely correct for many more months to come.

Do think that some alts have short as well as long term very good odds, but I would agree that even those are much more risky than bitcoin.

Last year at that time bitcoin was around $420-$450 ,now the price might reach $800.
Too sad that i haven`t got any bitcoins back in December 2015.
I lost so much potential profits.

You can still make profit if you buy right now, if the up trend continues bitcoin price would be doubled by end of 2017.

yes that is right, bitcoin is really increasing and it is still right decision to buy bitcoin because the price is continuously increasing and i am also hopeful that the trend of increase the price of bitcoin will continue for a long time.

Seeing all the posts in this thread, I'm almost sure I wouldn't be able to buy plenty of bitcoins for storing. A single coin is worth 38K in my local currency. The minimum monthly salary here is at around 16K.

Nice video indeed, but I don't really share your opinion about Altcoin.

Altcoins will rise when bitcoin fails. If bitcoin is successful, the altcoins will loose. I was really optimistic about Zcash, but look at it now 

It was clear since the beginning that Zcash would be a disaster. The sketchy ass way that the anonymity works due needing you to trust the developers into doing some fancy ridiculous gathering to delete master keys that would give them access to the entire network and the stupid coin emission that guarantees a perpetual inflation for years makes it a very shitty investment.

In summary:

• Because amount of transactions in bitcoin has not grown so fast anymore lately and is at risk of not growing at all for the coming year if disagreement between core devs and other leading figures continues.
• Because chances for a bitcoin bubble become pretty high now that we are closer to the old ATH of $1100. In past bitcoin bubbles altcoins, even shitcoins, ended up rising even more then bitcoin.
• Because in contrast to past bubbles, many bitcoiners now realize some altcoins do have a future.
