Payback time 89 days according to http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/

That is the rig I am thinking of building. I will be mining BTC, and most likely LTC due to the much more profitable mining (http://dustcoin.com/mining)

I will sell all the game codes (bar maybe one crysis 3 as I don't own that and it looks good Tongue). But yeah, do you think this looks good? I looked up the PSU usage and eXtreme calculator (http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine) recommended I get a 500W, so I think a 650W good branded bronze should be enough... idk how much it ACTUALLY uses though.

Also do you think its better to shaft one of the cards and perhaps try and find something like a 5850, or a 5970 for cheap on ebay?
The website I am buying from is aria.co.uk if you guys want to look at the case etc, But it looks decent and will end up having 4 120MM overall (2 are included) do you think this will keep it cool enough?

What do you guys think?

Thanks

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Spontaneous thought: I'd at least go for both cards 7950.

Is that worth it? the 7870 tahiti LE gets very similar hashrate for, well almost £100 cheaper. Albeit it does have a slightly higher power usage, I doubt it will use more power than the price gap.

The way that difficulty is going up ... getting that now is not really worth it... it may take you a month or so to pay off that card... but ... then you will still be making about 10$ a day from that one card... go ham and get a 7950 make 15$ a day... or go super ham and get the 7970 and make 20(ish)
in the future the 7970 or the higher the hashrate will hold better... keep that in mind... my 7950 gets about 3 LTC a day... so currently 12$ a day... expect about 2-2.5 for your card thats about 8-10

you get what yo upay for... its your choice. Smiley
