So, the there months are over now. As Simon's attorney told us there should have been a solution by now.

@2weiX: You said you filed a claim against btc-24. How can I do that? Do I need to hire a attorney?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't in the end.
Since a claim can only go against the OWNER of the company, and I didn't agree to charging him with fraud when in my eyes he didn't defraud me.

I am thinking of setting up a fund of sorts to get a class-act against the polish authorities.
I need to talk this through with my lawyers first, though.

Och. Menno!

Update: 10 October
Source: https://bitcoin-24.com/download/2013_10_10_en.pdf

"Dear Customers of BTC 24 Ltd.,
We would like to apologise – also on behalf of our client – for the long interval that has elapsed between clarifications. The reason for this was and is the constantly changing situation in Poland. Since the last clarification, numerous discussions and negotiations have been held by our clients Polish lawyers with the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office. Last week, we held a further comprehensive discussion with the Polish lawyers, so that we are now in a position to issue a new statement.

In this context, it must first be stated that the situation in Poland and the approach adopted by the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office appears increasingly bleak and, from the perspective of the rule of law, no longer reconcilable.

The Polish Public Prosecutor's Office has, till date, not permitted our clients Polish lawyers to scrutinise the files. We are, therefore, dependent upon statements made by the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office to the Polish lawyers, since the former party comments on the state of affairs mostly in discussions – if at all. For this reason, it is also beyond difficult to draw legal inferences from these constantly changing statements and to develop strategies for subjecting the matter to definitive legal clarification and solution."

Also from the lawyer's statement:

"It is gradually becoming evident that the Polish Public Prosecutor's Office conjures up new allegations out of a hat whenever all reasons for confiscation are refuted and, thus, delays the matter."

This might be a solution for some of you, but be warned that the owner of that blog has an amazing 400€ sitting there.

hi all

do you know of any way to reach the btc24 guys?

I want them just to update my account balance
so once (or if) they do get the money they  can send me the right amount.
(It incorrectly shows as processed  a wire that never came through)
Using the "contact" form and emailing gives no response

The best way is to contact their lawyers and explain what happened to you: http://www.rdp-law.de/presse.html

It is "Meldebescheinigung" in German. I do not know what it means exactly. But I guess it is something that proves your residency (eg. electricity bill).

This statement is BS !!

They use lawers blabla just for a poll result ?

No news information, money is still blocked by poland

Now you juste have to make a normal account for a website dealing with money.
What BTC-24 should have ask you before sending any money...

tl;dr : IF you fill all form and give a DNA sample and IF poland release money, you'll see maybe 72% of your money...

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.
it has lots of buttery taste..

electricity bill is also on their list, separately. So it must be something else.

Does someone know which lawyer or attorney now processed Simon Hausdorf / bitcoin-24 case?
Chambers "Röhl · Dehm & Partner" does not any more.
