Do you want to give the Ripple system a try? Do you need an account funded? If so, then you need XRP.
You can use XRP to:
1) Open a Ripple account (200 XRP).
2) Hold balances in different currencies at different gateways (50 XRP for each currency/gateway combination).
3) Place multiple currency exchange offers at once (50 XRP per concurrent offer).
4) Perform transactions (about 100,000 transactions per XRP).
5) Create an account or two for a friend (1,000 XRP each).
I am looking to build reputation and acquire vouches. To do so, I will sell XRP in very small quantities. PM for current rates -- 0.25 BTC will buy you enough XRP for all the things listed above. Of course, larger quantities are available as well.
Lack of XRP is no longer an obstacle to experimenting with the Ripple system.
