Our personal view of freedom is based on the utopian ideas where people are supposedly just lazying around, doing nothing and yet have still experiencing abundant lives and have all the things they need and want. Real freedom is that opportunity to work hard and pursue the things you love in the face of constraints and challenges.

I did read the other day a tweet that said something like "the entire point of having money is to get away from dickheads" that's basically my view of both having money and being free. Free to tell people you don't like to go fuck theirselves.

Then think once what really freedom will be? No tension, no fear in mind. That's the life we life we want to live ,don't we ? And we can make it possible. You already have freedom to chase the job you want, buy what you want and say what you think (depending on the country).
Just compare North Korea or China with US or Some European countries and see who has more freedom...
No one's forcing you to live in any way, you choose what you want and how you want to live.

Freedom is when we can do anything without fear or worry. For example, when you want to travel somewhere, but you are afraid to go there because for example you have the enemy in place. Or freedom is when we are not under pressure to lead a life of anyone. Suppose you pressured by your parents to get married, your life will definitely not be quiet and will feel uneasy. And I have not received real freedom.

Freedom is neither license nor anarchy: It does not mean chaos or the use of tooth and nail. Freedom does not give any man or group the right to steal, to use fraud or aggressive force or threats of same to get what one wants.

Freedom is the right of the individual to choose how he controls himself, so long as he respects the equal rights of every other individual to control and plan his own life. Freedom is thus not the ability to do whatever you want. It is self-control, and self-government, no more, no less.

Thus "freedom is self-control" leads to the conclusion that as acting individuals, we must respect the rights and boundaries of others. In other words, every individual should control his or her actions such that they do not aggress or invade against other individuals or their rightfully owned properties. "Freedom" as "self-control" points up the dual nature of human existence: of the Self (mind, soul, and spirit) housed in a physical body. Human beings require both spiritual freedom and physical liberty

The evolution of the social contract is a progressive climb to systems with increased overall freedom. The state of nature begat tribalism. Tribalism grew into despotism. Despotism advanced into monarchy. Monarchies were replaced by republics. Each iteration has a common theme for each advance increased the overall cooperative activity and freedom the system permitted.

The ultimate driver behind this process is Ethical Monotheism for this is the underappreciated foundation that freedom rests upon. The Ten Commandments are often misunderstood as as restrictions. In reality they are the road map to freedom. To better understand this I highly recommend the following 5 minute video clip from Prager University.

Freedom out-competes slavery. This is why the Odin worshiping vikings were replaced by Christian vikings. It is the ultimate reason why Arab polytheism was replaced by Islam and why the Jews who who's traditions demand an individual understanding and observance of scripture have so excelled.

A person is responsible for every action he takes and for every action he refuses to take. Thus, he is responsible for commissions and omissions, and whether these are good or bad. The individual is the responsible unit. Responsibility cannot be collectively delegated. Each person is responsible in exactly the same way and to the same degree that every other person is.

At the level of the individual we again return to choice. Do we truly care about freedom or do we care about our cravings and wants? If we choose freedom we must embrace that which makes freedom possible. If we choose whims and desires we should admit to ourselves that we do not prioritize freedom and are most concerned with our ability to sate our appetites.

Funny thing, in my country we can criticize the government all we want and they can't do anything. However, our media is also heavily manipulated and censored. Free country lol that doesn't exist on this planet.

Real freedom? Theres are basic rules on society   Freedom to speak is one of those, privacy and way of make living.

Cannabis legalization is one thing what they dont wanna talk in Finland.

One my point is, some people can be many years away on freedome and eating pills, looking apathetically on roof (i dont talk about inmates)

Where are you from?

There are a few countries that are close to that. Here in Serbia, rarely anything is censured but there a lot of pressure on people to look at and listen to our Lord and Savior, our Overlord Aleksandar Vucic. But yeah, there are some maniplations here and there but nothing that much with big of an impact. Tho corruption is curently one of the bigger problems.

Real freedom for me cannot be seen physically. Freedom for me is being happy in everything we do. Even if we are in prison or being enslave but we managed to laugh and enjoy our life that is real freedom.

Freedom for me is a mindset that everything that is happening is destiny, we cannot undo it, it is accepting everything that comes our way and that we managed to smile live and enjoy our situation even though it is not comfortable.

Freedom is the ability to transcend above our physical and emotional boundedness. It is freedom of the soul that cannot be taken away by despair nor chaos.

Yes, I agree that freedom should begin in the mind, but if you're in a stinking jail where dozen of dirty men have somebody in turn, it is difficult to think about freedom.

In my opinion freedom is an abstract matter because to some people being free means grabbing a rifle and shooting their neighbours or colleagues for being foreigners, homosexuals, atheists or Muslims, or different in any other way. Other people opine that being free means expressing themselves in public e.g. either walking naked or half-naked, or smoking skank and puffing it's smoke in the face of a copper, getting drunk or shooting heroin and lying catatonic in the street, or covering walls of local museums with graffiti (kind of running out of weird ideas here), and to other people being free means assuming responsibilities for their lives and choices, drawing right conclusions after having surmounted certain obstacles, trials, ordeals etc.; remaining merciful and compassionate to everybody and choosing words carefully in any situation. I believe that one of the best options is to make a synthesis and draw a following conclusion: Freedom is only a matter of choice. We can either prosper and thrive and contribute to other people's happiness and well-being, or we can destroy ourselves and everybody who is dear to us. There are no Freemasons, corrupted governments and politicians, totalitarian regimes, there are no people or governing bodies to blame but ourselves and every nation has what it deserves and reaps and gleans what it has sown. Admitting that fact is making a step closer to improving the situation and gaining liberty. All the rest is up to us. Cheers, Folks! First, we have to ask ourselves what is real freedom?
Some people think that only money can make them free?
Others only find freedom in drugs, alcohol, gambling etc.
In my opinion, real and absolute freedom is possible to find only in God.
Only God can give us purpose of life, absolute values and eternal life.
Outside of God's love there is no real freedom, happiness and purpose.

However, freedom is not as beautiful and liberated from the theory or as spoken and dealt with people. The freedom of each individual may be different from the others because of differences in perspectives and viewpoints even though the same theme. Not be forced between belief in the freedom of the individual against another.
I think it's freedom has no debts, no loans, could eat and drink and give to others in need every wish, be able to control yourself, know yourself capabilities, not overbearing...cheers

   Freedom is a state of mind! Being able to do what you wish, and now question how many of us are really free? Free to do things we wish, but cause our society doesnt give approval we do things in the dark. We are not free to do what we wish, we are forced from the birth to have IDs, documents, to work for money to be able to buy what we need with that. And how many of us here work for decent salary, who can pay apartment, car, to go on vocation, buy gadgets?
   I get my freedom in nature, when I`m out there in wild. Where human hand still didnt ruin everything, there I get my freedom, and only way to be free is to live with nature, everything else is illusion.
