On the RX480 can there be a speed of up to 450? Can you do that on the NVIDIA video cards? For example on 1080 ti?Gateless Gate Sharp 1.3.8: 30Mh/s (Ethash) on RX 480!

Last 3 months I didn't follow the project, can someone help with getting the most of it?
I tried 1.3.8 on PC with 570+470
at 1050/1900 I got 25mh, while Calymore/Phonenix make 28mh
Is there some kind of optimization which can be used and how?

Zawawa is now focusing on private projects, I don't think he'll have time to develop GGS. He however told me in this thread that he has released open source kernels for ETASH on github.

And what help it does for usual miners? I looked in github, zawawa on free time allready start to make version 2.0.
But still without new nicehash algos... Even nicehash heavy is absent...

You must run optimization in GGS.

While installing the installation of MS VC++ redis fails, because it is already installed. Is there any workaround for this?

You can use unpacked archive with GGS.

hi guys. help me please with gg.

im trying to mine innova using simplemining os. no luck with sg miner. gatless runs but gives me 20Kh per card, card are rx470 8gb they should be around 800 not 20.

if i use this config

--kernel neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.bsod.pw:1888 -u iN9cGGgVZNmFisMNdGNDFd6bsXkAP4ERJq.rx -p c=INN --gpu-platform 0

it works and gives me 20khash per card wich is a bit ridicculus.

if i specify intensity and worksize  like this
--kernel neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.bsod.pw:1888 -u iN9cGGgVZNmFisMNdGNDFd6bsXkAP4ERJq.rx -p c=INN --gpu-platform 0 --worksize 251 --gpu-threads 1

I am currently getting paid to rewrite GGS in Qt and C++, and the plan is to open-source it eventually.
I will keep you guys updated.

I cannot give you details right now, but it seems like timing mods on Vega seem a whole lot harder than those on pre-Vega ASIC's.

Somewhat. There's perks, too.

That's at least what an insider told me.
On a related note, I meant to ask you if you figured out how to modify microcodes for memory controllers.
That would be an ultimate hack...

Heh, hilarious tidbit. I *think* I can. But since I've no fucking clue what it wants to read...

Those microcodes were what I was trying to figure out before I started working on the C++ version of Gateless Gate Sharp.
If you haven't figured them out yet, I think it is safe to assume nobody else did...

Absolutely amazing work you've done.
I hereby thank you for all your effort. Its a great piece of open-source miner that works perfect for many cryptos.

I'm using it right now for my own experiment on different king of algorithms, and your open-source app is one of a kind in this category.

My question is; I've seen integrated equihash algo in source but no zcash in miners, is it updated algo for zcash mining? can I enable it in source? is it working?

also many other algo's in old gateless app, will they work right now? like monero or ...?

Again, congrats you!

.......
Actually? I ain't bother looking. I went to the MMIO. Reason being, microcode updates, for AMD, are not a nice thing. It means that they now have a new branch of code which to use whatever they added, they need to check versions. The more versions, the more pain in your ass.

I see this as incentivizing them to make shit configurable through it - either indirect MMIO which goes to the UMC FW, or MMIO which has a similar effect. Then, as they add to the open source drivers, a bare minimum will be added, and most of them will likely conveniently slip their minds.

what is MMIO?

Thank you. There are so many things I am not happy with GGS as it is now, however, and a lack of Zcash support is one of them.
As you can see, the kernel is already there and it should be a fun weekend project to implement it, but I was just too busy with other things.
My current sponsor is quite generous, so I hope I could spend enough time on the C++ rewrite of GGS. We will see.

I am looking for some documentation on the API in order to adapt GGS to my scripts.  I found "SUMMARY", "CONFIG", and "DEVS".  I need a command that returns the currently mining URL.  Hopefully in for format "pool:port".  Thanks in advance for any help.
