Hello Cryptocoin Community,

i'm currently solo-cpu-mining using this software: http://up.picr.de/27702673ux.png

My problem is that it seems to use 8? (correct me if i'm wrong) cores as you can see on this picture: http://up.picr.de/27702674sk.png
And this of course makes my CPU-temperature going crazy, being on 70+ Celcius / 158 Farenheit in a few minutes.

So my question, do you know what a have to add in my editor file (http://up.picr.de/27702746ri.jpg) to only use fewer cores?

Best Regards and thanks in advance! Smiley

-t 24 i use to use my 2 x operton for 24 cores and i like using dark cpuminer its very good for amd chips but looking at you hash rates .. it looks all ready good .. for example 57k x 16 cores if you do have that = 900ks
+ and yes 8 is 0 thur 7 .. 0 = 1 7 = 8

We are very proud to collaborate with tpruvot, Wolf, and the other miner devs to make mining easier and more profitable for you.
tpruvot's cpuminer-multi is actually configured out of the box on PiMP, according to the PiMP 1.9 and 2.0 Users Guide "1.6: Included algorithms and miners" located at https://getpimp.org/guide2/ It mines XMR with the default configuration.

We are Happy to answer any questions! join us in IRC.

Have a great day!

hello sirslayer.
big thank you for answering me  Cheesy
i will try it as soon as i'm home!

to my hashrate, is it really good, 440k for 8 cores or was that a joke? i have no comparsion.
and if i'm mining with 4 cores i'll get ~220k right? Smiley

Kind Regards

is it possible to mine X-11 algorithm with this miner? if so i will definitly give it a try.
Best Regards

Don't try to mine X algos with cpu, there are assics for this, it's absolutely non profitable.
Better look for some cpu friendly algos like cryptonight.

well not knowing your Intel cpu model, i would think its very good .. here are my stats and hashes.. AMD operton 6174 x 2. each cpu are 12 cores. 2 cpu = 24 cores . each core is average @ 34.5 khash/s and a total of 24 cores = 800+ khash/s with overhead. your cpu does 55 khash/s and if it was a 24 core in theory of up to 1,2+ mhash/s. You have a better single core then my cpu AMD and its about 4 years old.. still not bad for an older design.
