Hey guys,

I am just really wondering what are the worst ICOs you have seen?

Also what defines a terrible ICO for you?

p.s im planning to launch one, so really curious on your opinion Smiley

Why choose fail ico rather than sucessful ico??

Too many fail ico coin
Staketoken - scam ico
Decloud - scam ico
Lir - fail ico
Bitsynq - fail ico
Dlisk - fail ico
Rise - fail ico. 2000 BTC without anything new

LIR and RISE.
LIR failed hard right before the launch but it actually had a small pump.
RISE never did the same, it's just falling since the launch lol

PS: both had a reasonable amount of bitcoins raised.

Yes, lir scammed 400 btc, while rise did 1700 btc, that is insane and huge money, also, in 2016 there are many other scams, like opair scammed 150 btc, ebitz, aka 200 btc(I believe the figure is faked, real must be less than 50). Declouds-300, also most are faked, namely self-invested

I participated only in few ICO's, and all of them were fail. Good ICO happens rarely.
I agree with opinion stated above, that ICO is just another way to scam people.

Profiting by investing on ICO is I think very risky as most of them just dumps despite all the efforts that gone

through like successfully collecting funds for it and many people promoting it. The worst case is when the devs don't

even give a shit after successfully collected the money from its investors. Ico has its advantages but it's like a new

way to scam people for me. Too risky

There are a few weak icos like egaas and spectre as well as mass but I can't say which one really are the worst because I don't invest in them usually, if only some exceptions like iconomi maybe to turn out to be a good one.

The worst ICO I saw was the ICO of Make currency about whom I think there was no any buyer. That was looked as a promising but as they denied to escrow the funds of ICO so no one bothered to buy their coins and the developers ran away from here disappointed.
Yeah that was also one of the worst ICO but I don't know that what was the reason of their bad luck because there were some more ICOs who also do not had escrow but some a good income from their ICO one of the example is ebitz which scam a lot of investors and ran away.

What did we learn ?

The noobs that showed up here late..
Think the ICO is legit.. *IF* THEY MADE MONEY OFF IT  Cheesy

The functionality of the ICO itself is irrelevant apparently.

Hell, i don't even recall seeing any of those names here anywhere even once.

Its simple

The ones the pretend to do some good and actually have no intention.

Envion was the worse for me raised over $100 million and just disappeared into thin air saying one partner had a disagreement with the other and didnt deliver on anything.

I think it is Decloud ICO ended up been a scam. The team was smart to generate enough interest at first but was so foolish to expose itself by using a cropped image of a bank meeting. Though they still have 200+BTC in their address
I of course errori and I'd say not on topic, but I think you need to remove the avatar so as this fraud. The project is engaged in phishing and theft of private keys from MEW.

The ico's that never give up even though they have no chance of meeting the softcap. They keep extending it along with the bounty deadlines and in the end they say sorry, we didn't meet the softcap and will now stop

Unfortunately, every second ICO on the market with minimal chances for life. And the problem is most often not in market conditions, but in the ICO itself. Not professionalism, lack of experience in the team and empty promises suggest to doubt the true intentions of developers

I have invested in many ico early last year and of a truth I lose in investing into those icos! Some of them are no longer exists,  some did not last more than the icos ' period as the developers and icos owners disappear into tin air.  It is much advisable that you should not louch your projects into the market at this bearish market and if people I will said you should use you personal fund in develop your projects and maybe get your return after it louch in the cryptocurrency exchange market and that if it is doing well.

I can't say the worst ICO name because I think every failure or fraud is the worst ICO in my opinion so for me there are a lot of bad ICOs in crypo so you have to be careful in choosing it.
See the team that made the ICO because in my opinion the bad team is one of the bad characteristics of ICO.

most of the ico outputs in 2018 have been disastrous, many have not raised enough funds to go on, others have been scam, other projects have lost value after the end of the ico with the token devalued even 90%, perhaps the time of finished...

I do not memorize bad ICO projects because I do not participate in them. You can go to the ANN branch and see dozens of fraudulent projects there that every month deceive people. In my opinion, a bad project is a project that does not have a good idea and wants to collect a lot of investments. But in the end, he steals money from investors and creates nothing.

Worst ICO was Elisia project and they just took the money and run away without looking back. Elisia team closed telegram groups and they accept scam facts. No one is able to find the LinkedIn page of CEO and he doesn't reply back to emails.

What experience have you got to launch an ICO? You see guys, this is the big problem with cryptocurrency. Everyone wants to have his own cryptocurrency. I give up.

reward mob
actually the concept is good, even tournament games have started from the rewardmob project. tokens also exist in the market exchange. but unfortunately the dev team is bad, and doesn't develop the project, they just run away.
