I see ETH will be dead in 2017 and on, because so many better ones are coming. For example, byteball is in a good shape. For smaller altcoins I'd say Kurrent is one to watch.

I'd say that buying any legit altcoin now will be a good idea since all sank hardly due to the Bitcoin pump occuring now. For me price of the major ones should get to its pre-pump price once Bitcoin's price will have crasher hardly.

XC will be next star of year 2017 it have more better solutions for privacy and they have good technology for anonymity. Dev is going to implement some of the best tech in coming month.

IS not always easy for a coin that dumped so low to hit another pumped price,  looked at Dogecoin, Ripple and NXT for example thise two could only dream of hit their ATH again

Avoid problems and strange calculations. Invest all your money in bitcoin and at the end of 2017 you will probably get a very pleasant surprise. It is always better to bet everything to the eternal winner than to risk your money with potential candidates... or losers.

Zcash can improve it's position in the market cap with other altcoins. Ether can fall but it is far from dying.
It seems like it is here to stay for some more time and if the team can fix the issues, it will not be surprising to see another price increase.

No ZEC will worth like a little pennies soon, It's sadly but true.
More coin will get dump and the price will decrease, and from over 2k btc and it worth a little pennies soon. It may take some years later for get his recovery price and wich mean will fly again over 1 btc.

I'm not talking of an ATH. ETH's ATH is something like 0,04BTC, but if it only goes back to something like 0,015BTC, from where it is actually, that will be very good ! That's true for most of the major altcoins that took a nasty hit with that mighty Bitcoin price.

If forecasts for Bitcoin are confirmed in 2017, this will be a difficult year for most altcoins, but I think some cryptos will remain strong in the market. Litecoin is probably one of them, it seems they will try to implement segwit before Bitcoin. Monero is also a good alt, but it will all depend on the market's interest in a more anonymous cryptocurrency.

This thread is asking which coin will preform best in 2017. Not in first 5  months or last 5 months but from January till December.


I hardly wait that people publish 2016 crypto winners. We will probably see many surprises we did not even noticed they grew 1000 times and made their holders filthy rich.

I agree with on Zcash, it has potential to move up  the ladder on the coinmarketcap.com, and I think the bottom could be around $20 at least and the more coins get mined the higher its marketcap

BTC is 50% -100% profit, ZEC is about 30%-60% profit and Dash is about 40% - 80% profit
but I always put money in BTC (about 60%-70% of my total money).

its too many coins that will give us a profitable in 2017 because bitcoin itself don't have a stable position for the price so the altcoin is waiting to get increase. i am choose dash, etc, ltc, xmr, because that three of the coins is the oldest of the other coins beside of etc. etc itself i think could be increase too if we see the good movements in the market but let we see what will happen in 2017.

bitcoin is obviously going to conquer the cryptocurrencies market in early 2017 since it has started right now but this also means lots of great opportunities to buy cheaper altcoins but you have to wait for the bottom. and that is what i am going to do. after the new year buy at the bottoms and then wait for the pumps to start one by one.

I'm seeing brighter future for ZCL and ETC. Both the classic versions will outclass the actual versions.
